What to do if a pregnant woman has a nose bleed due to internal heat

Nosebleeds are not uncommon among pregnant women, and are more likely to occur in the second and third trimesters. You should be more vigilant if your nose gets burned or bleeds during the late stages of pregnancy. After pregnancy, the large amount of progesterone secreted by the body will cause the body's blood vessels to dilate more easily. At this time, the capillaries in the nasal mucosa dilate greatly. If you accidentally touch the inside of the nose, it can easily cause bleeding. Here are some ways to deal with nose bleeding during pregnancy.

It is recommended that expectant mothers carry some tissues with them as a backup. If you have a nosebleed, please don't panic. Go to a cool place, sit or lie down, raise your head, pinch your nose partially with your hand, and then stuff cotton wool or paper towels dipped in cold water into your nostrils.

If the bleeding cannot be stopped in a short time, you can apply a cold towel on the forehead and gently pat the forehead with your hands to slow down the blood flow.

Push the bleeding nostril towards the bridge of the nose and hold it there for 5-10 minutes to stop the bleeding. If bleeding occurs on both sides, pinch both nostrils. After the nosebleed stops, there are often blood clots in the nostrils. Do not rush to get them out. Try to avoid sneezing and rubbing hard to prevent further bleeding.

If your left nostril is bleeding, raise your right arm; if your right nostril is bleeding, raise your left arm. The bleeding will stop after a few minutes.

Take an appropriate amount of garlic, peel it and mash it into garlic paste, apply it on the soles of your feet, wrap it with gauze, which can stop bleeding quickly. Sitting on a chair and soaking your feet in hot water can also stop nosebleeds.

You can use tap water or well water (cold water), soak one of your hands (sprinkle water on your hand), and then pat the back of your neck a few times to stop the bleeding.

Of course, nutritional deficiencies during pregnancy are also an important cause of nosebleeds. After many women become pregnant, their families let them eat a lot of high-protein foods to replenish their bodies, but the intake of vegetables is neglected, resulting in insufficient vitamin supplementation, so that the nasal mucosa cannot be moisturized, making it easy to have nosebleeds. After pregnancy, you should eat more foods containing vitamins, such as loofah, cabbage, cucumber, etc.
