How to use medicine and treat cervical erosion

According to incomplete statistics, the incidence of gynecological diseases in my country is on the rise year by year, and cervical erosion is a very common gynecological disease. Cervical erosion has seriously affected the health and life of women in my country. Cervical erosion has a certain relationship with women's health and fertility, and the best treatment for cervical erosion is medication. However, many women do not quite understand how to use medication and treat cervical erosion. Let’s take a deeper look today.

In fact, cervical erosion is caused by chronic inflammation of the cervix. When cervical inflammation involves deep tissues, the squamous epithelium on the surface of the cervix falls off due to nutritional disorders, and the peeling surface is gradually covered by columnar epithelium from the cervical canal. Because the columnar epithelium is thinner, the blood vessels and red stroma underneath are revealed. The red wound surface has a clear boundary with the normal pink epithelium. This is what we call cervical erosion.

After taking medicine for uterine erosion, since most of the medicines are vaginal suppositories, they are made by mixing the water-soluble effective drugs and the fat-soluble matrix through physical methods. The purpose of general drug treatment is to cause the necrosis and shedding of the columnar epithelium on the surface of cervical erosion, creating conditions for the covering growth of new squamous epithelium. The foreign bodies that fall off after taking the medicine are necrotic objects on the eroded surface of the cervix. The necrotic tissue is replaced by the old one, resulting in the shedding of the old epithelial tissue and the growth of new vaginal squamous epithelium. Some women say that there are blood streaks mixed in. This is caused by bleeding when taking the medicine, which is a normal reaction after taking the medicine.

Whether it is rotten skin and flesh, layers of bean curd-like secretions, or sticky secretions mixed with blood, these are all normal and do not affect the use of the medication. However, the active ingredients in the medication will form a gel when it comes into contact with water and adhere tightly to the eroded surface, thus prolonging the time it takes to exert its efficacy. When the drug film is mixed with the shed columnar epithelium, secretions, dirty blood, etc. to a certain extent, the film hardens and ruptures. In about 48 hours, it is excreted from the body due to gravity and friction. This is what all of you female friends are worried about: rotten skin and meat mixed with blood. The purpose of the drug is to achieve this effect so that the erosion can be discharged. Therefore, female friends do not have to worry and can continue to use it with peace of mind.

Some female friends pointed out that the reactions after vaginal medication were unacceptable to them, and they were even more averse to the medication method of lying on their backs before going to bed, wearing disposable sterile gloves, and pushing the suppository deep into the vagina. In this case, other treatments such as physical therapy and surgery can be tried.

Physical therapy: It is a widely used treatment method, with the advantages of short treatment course and good efficacy. It is suitable for patients with larger erosion area and deeper inflammatory infiltration. Commonly used methods include electric ironing, laser therapy, and cryotherapy. When medical treatment and physical therapy are ineffective, cervical conization or total hysterectomy should be considered.

Now everyone should have some understanding of cervical erosion and how to treat it with medication. However, there is one point that cannot be ignored, which is the prevention of gynecological diseases, especially in this hot summer. Be sure to pay attention to personal hygiene. Change your underwear frequently, wear tight pants as little as possible, and keeping it clean and dry is the most important thing.
