(2) Local treatment at the same time, such as flushing the vagina with 0.5% to 1% lactic acid or acetic acid solution or 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution once a day.

2. Fungal vaginitis

To treat candidal vaginitis, you can use 2% to 3% soda solution to rinse the vulva, vagina or take a sitz bath. After gently drying, place 250,000 units of nystatin suppository deep in the vagina, or apply nystatin cream to the vaginal wall, once a night or once in the morning and evening for a total of 10 to 14 days.

3. Nonspecific vaginitis

The drug of choice is metronidazole, 500 mg orally twice a day for 7 days. It can also be applied topically, 200 mg each time, inserted into the vagina, with 7 days as a course of treatment. Clindamycin 300 mg, orally, twice a day for 7 days; or 2% clindamycin ointment, vaginally, once a night for 7 days.

4. Senile vaginitis

To treat senile vaginitis, local medication can be applied in the vagina, such as washing the vulva with Jiaoyan feminine care liquid once a day to increase vaginal acidity. For patients with more severe inflammation, estrogen therapy is used as an adjunct. 0.125-0.25 mg of diethylstilbestrol is inserted into the vagina once every night, and one course of treatment is 7 days.
