How to treat moderate cervical erosion?

The cervix is the most common part of the gynecological disease. The milder diseases include cervicitis, while the more serious disease is cervical cancer. There is a certain connection between each disease. When cervicitis develops seriously, cervical erosion will occur. The severity of the erosion is different, and the damage to the cervix is also different. Therefore, moderate cervical erosion is a very serious type, which will develop into severe again and is very close to cervical cancer. So how do women treat moderate cervical erosion?

Cryotherapy:

Use refrigerants to quickly generate low temperatures to destroy cells and tissues to treat cervical erosion. One treatment is completed after 3 minutes of cooling, 5 minutes of rewarming, and 3 minutes of natural rewarming. After freezing, edema quickly occurs on the surface of the cervix, and watery substances begin to flow out after 4 to 6 hours. The amount gradually increases, reaching a peak in 3 to 4 days. After 7 to 10 days, the eroded tissue on the surface of the cervix forms a layer of membranous scab, which gradually falls off, and the wound slowly heals. Mild erosion can heal in 4 to 6 weeks. Severe erosion can be cured in 6 to 8 weeks.

Laser treatment:

Use of carbon dioxide laser to treat erosions. The eroded surface tissue is carbonized, scabs are formed, and after the scabs fall off, the wound surface is covered by new epithelium, with a high cure rate. The methods of using carbon dioxide laser are irradiation (average power density is 1w/cm2), burning (1~10 w/cm2), gasification (102~104 w/cm2) and cutting (>104 w/cm2). During laser treatment, care should be taken not to penetrate too deep into the cervical canal to avoid cervical adhesions. After treatment, vaginal discharge, sometimes purulent, will occur until the wound is completely healed, which takes about 6 weeks. Recommended for use.

Microwave therapy:

Microwave is a new type of physical therapy. When the microwave electrode touches the local diseased tissue, it instantly generates high heat in a very small area and achieves the effect of coagulation. After the operation, the cervical wound was cone-shaped and about 3 to 5 mm deep. The average follow-up examination was 11 weeks after treatment, and the cure rate was 79% at one time. Pregnant women with cervical erosion should not be treated with microwaves.

Bohm Lamp Treatment:

The Bohm light therapy device is a new instrument for treating cervical erosion. It irradiates the eroded surface until it turns a uniform grayish white color. Antibiotics are used for 10 days after the operation. The cure rate was 97% after follow-up 1 to 2 months after surgery.

Infrared condensation method:

Irradiating the eroded area with infrared rays causes third-degree burns, local tissue coagulation, necrosis, and shedding, forming non-inflammatory superficial ulcers. After the granulation tissue grows, it is eventually covered by new squamous epithelium and heals. This method has few side effects, less vaginal discharge after surgery, and the crust is thin and falls off quickly.

LEEP knife is also called ultra-high frequency electric wave knife:

The tip of the electrode generates a high-frequency radio wave of 6.0 MHz. After it touches the body, the tissue absorbs the high-frequency radio wave due to its own impedance and instantly generates high heat to complete the treatment of cervical erosion. The advantage is that very fine surgical effects can be achieved. It will not cause tissue pulling or carbonization and will cause little damage to surrounding tissues. Less pain and less chance of scarring. The operation is short, averaging 3 to 5 minutes, and the operation is simple and painless.

How do women treat moderate cervical erosion? The treatment for moderate diseases is mainly physical therapy. Drug treatment is not very effective, but physical therapy can be used in conjunction with drugs for auxiliary treatment. If the patient's physical therapy causes recurrence of the disease, routine cervical examinations should be performed, such as cervical scrapings, to confirm whether there are lesions in the eroded area to avoid worsening of the disease due to changes in the condition.
