What causes cervical cysts?

Many female friends know that cervical cyst is a serious gynecological disease. It is a disease caused by inflammation, so there are many hazards, such as infertility, miscarriage, and impact on the fetus. Of course, the prevention of cervical cysts is also very important. If you want to do better prevention, you must understand the causes of the disease. Below, the editor will explain to you several causes of cervical cysts.

In chronic cervicitis, the cervical glands and surrounding tissues proliferate. When the gland duct is squeezed by the surrounding tissue and the gland opening is blocked, the secretions in the gland cannot flow out and are retained inside, causing the gland cavity to expand and form cystic tumors of varying sizes, called "cervical gland retention cysts", also known as Nabot cysts. The main causes of cervical cysts are as follows:

1. Cervical cysts are common in women who have sexual lives. After a cervical cyst occurs, if the cervical cyst is small and not infected, no treatment is required. If it is large and infected, active treatment is necessary. Cervical cysts vary in size, but are generally small and scattered. It can appear alone or in multiples. It can occur in any part of the cervix.

2. Cervical cyst is a pathological manifestation of chronic cervicitis. During the healing process of inflammation, the newly formed squamous epithelium covers the opening of the cervical gland duct or extends into the gland duct, blocking the opening of the gland duct. The hyperplasia of connective tissue or scar formation around the glandular duct compresses the glandular duct, causing it to narrow or even become blocked. The drainage of glandular secretions is obstructed and retained, forming cysts.

3. Due to the long-term stimulation of chronic inflammation, the cervical tissue repeatedly becomes congested and edematous, and inflammatory cells infiltrate and connective tissue proliferate, causing cervical hypertrophy. In severe cases, the cervix can increase by more than 1 times compared to a normal cervix. Severe inflammation can lead to menstrual abnormalities and even female infertility.

The above are some of the causes of cervical cysts. Female friends must understand the relevant knowledge in order to better prevent and stay away from the disease. In addition, because cervical cysts are very harmful, once you know you have the disease, you should seek treatment early to ensure that the disease can be cured faster and better, leaving no regrets in your future life.
