The postoperative recurrence rate is generally between 20% and 30%. The recurrence rate is related to the length of postoperative follow-up. The longer the follow-up time, the higher the recurrence rate. It is also related to the examination method used. Tedele (1995) used vaginal ultrasound for follow-up after uterine myomectomy and found that the cumulative recurrence rate increased year by year in 5 years, reaching 51% in 5 years. The postoperative recurrence rate of multiple uterine fibroids is higher than that of single fibroids. In addition, the literature reports that the recurrence rate of women who have had pregnancy and childbirth after myomectomy (15%) is lower than that of those who have not been pregnant (30%) after surgery.
