What is the cause of cervical erosion?

Cervical erosion is a gynecological disease that often occurs among female friends. Most female friends will experience irregular bleeding after experiencing cervical erosion, especially after sexual intercourse. If it is not effectively treated for a long time, it is likely to induce some other gynecological diseases. Let us take a look at some of the more common causes of cervical erosion.

Experts point out that cervical erosion is a common gynecological disease. It usually appears in the form of inflammation. Once you suffer from this disease, there will be symptoms such as increased vaginal discharge, thick vaginal discharge, and even an abnormal odor. Female friends are reminded to understand the reasons, otherwise it will harm their health.

Frequent flushing of the vagina with high-concentration cleaning solutions often has the opposite effect and can cause cervical erosion. Some women pay great attention to hygiene, but lack the necessary knowledge, because flushing the vagina with a high concentration of cleaning solution will not only affect the growth of normal vaginal flora and reduce its ability to inhibit pathogenic bacteria, but can also cause varying degrees of cervical epithelial damage and eventually erosion.

For married women without children, if a doctor diagnoses mild cervical erosion and excludes cervical malignancy, local cervical treatment can be performed through vaginal medication.

Cervical erosion is a dynamic development process. If mild cervical erosion is not treated in time or correctly, it can easily develop into moderate or severe cervical erosion, especially granular or papillary cervical erosion, which not only threatens physical health but also increases the difficulty and cost of treatment, and may even develop into cervical cancer and endanger life. Because long-term inflammatory stimulation can easily lead to atypical proliferation of lesions and develop into cancer. At the same time, because the local immunity of the cervix decreases, it is more likely to be infected with HPV (human papillomavirus), which increases the incidence of cervical cancer. Therefore, to prevent cervical cancer, we must start with preventing and treating cervical erosion.

The symptoms of cervical cancer in the early stages are very similar to those of cervical erosion, and generally cannot be identified with the naked eye. Therefore, it is best to be vigilant and conduct gynecological examinations in a timely manner when symptoms of cervical erosion are found to rule out the possibility of cervical cancer as much as possible. Treatment should also be carried out in a timely manner to avoid causing female infertility.
