What causes lower abdominal pain and excessive vaginal discharge?

Women often suffer from various gynecological diseases, some of which are not very serious, while others are very serious. Regardless of how serious it is, we need to pay attention to it. If we do not, it may cause complications or worsen, leading to unpredictable consequences. Abnormal leucorrhea is a very common problem. So, what are the possible causes of lower abdominal pain and excessive leucorrhea?

1. Trichomonas vaginitis - vaginal itching and fishy leucorrhea: It is caused by Trichomonas vaginalis, with an incubation period of 4 to 28 days. There are small red particles or petechiae on the vaginal mucosa. Increased leucorrhea and vulvar itching are the main symptoms. If there is a mixed infection with other bacteria, the discharge will be purulent and may have a fishy smell. The itching areas are mainly the vaginal opening and vulva, and there may occasionally be burning, pain, and pain during sexual intercourse.

2. Fungal vaginitis - the leucorrhea is in the shape of tofu dregs and has a foul odor: also called candidal vaginitis, caused by fungal infection. Its incidence rate is higher than that of Trichomonas vaginitis. Patients with candidal vaginitis experience increased leucorrhea, which is yellow or white in color, typically resembling tofu dregs, and has a foul odor. Itching and burning sensation of the vulva and vagina, painful urination, redness and edema around the vulva, and various changes in the epidermis.

3. Cervical erosion - increased leucorrhea, with a thick texture and a foul odor: Cervical erosion, especially moderate and severe cervical erosion, has a more obvious odor. The leucorrhea produced by cervical erosion can also vary in color, state, and quality depending on the pathogen. Increased vaginal discharge is the most important symptom of cervical erosion, usually in the form of sticky or purulent mucus, sometimes with a fishy smell, and sometimes with blood or bleeding during sexual intercourse. It is followed by vulvar itching, or burning discomfort, pain in the lower abdomen or lumbosacral region, which worsens during sexual intercourse, menstruation and defecation.

Whether it is one of the above-mentioned gynecological diseases, you need to go to a regular hospital for diagnosis and examination to find out, so if you find that you have abnormal leucorrhea, it is best to check as soon as possible to determine the cause and treat it symptomatically. Female friends must pay attention to their personal hygiene, take a bath frequently, avoid having frequent sex, and avoid staying up late.
