Pathogenic factors of uterine leiomyoma

So far, the cause and pathogenesis of uterine fibroids have not been established, and there are various risk sources that contribute to the occurrence or growth of uterine fibroids. Factors that increase the risk of uterine fibroids include: use of estrogen during pregnancy, early age of menarche, nulliparity, late marriage and childbearing, obesity, African descent, tamoxifen, etc. Factors that reduce the risk of uterine fibroids include: exercise, multiple births, menopause, and birth control pills.
