What causes women to be unable to hold their urine?

In life, some women always encounter very embarrassing things. They often can't hold their urine when doing things outside. What's even more embarrassing is that sometimes they really can't stand it and they wet their pants accidentally. Although this is a very embarrassing thing, it is understandable. And women who often experience this situation may be suffering from a certain disease. So, why can't women hold their urine?

In fact, this is related to the pressure in life, one's age, and the environment in which one lives. However, many women don’t know what is going on and are troubled by it all day long. Urge urinary incontinence refers to the sudden urge to urinate, and the feeling is very strong, as if you can't hold it in any longer. Often when this happens, you don't have time to go to the toilet and your pants are wet. The most common cause is a urinary tract infection.

Stress and urge incontinence often occur together in women, which is often called mixed incontinence. The main reasons include that the female urethra is shorter than the male urethra, only 3-5cm on average; the pelvis is wide and the muscle support is weak; the urethral sphincter is relaxed; pregnancy and childbirth cause damage to the pelvic floor muscles; the estrogen level of women decreases after middle age and the urethral mucosa atrophies; surgery causes anatomical changes to the pelvis, etc.

Women's inability to hold urine includes stress urinary incontinence, urge urinary incontinence and mixed stress urge urinary incontinence. Stress urinary incontinence, also known as tension urinary incontinence, refers to the uncontrolled and involuntary flow of urine when abdominal pressure suddenly increases due to coughing, sneezing, laughing, standing up, etc. This is the most common type of urinary incontinence among women. Women of all ages can be affected, especially those who have given birth to children with a history of difficult labor or who suffer from uterine prolapse, bladder and urethral prolapse. After menopause, women lack estrogen, which causes the urethra to become thinner, reducing the resistance through the urethra, making it more common for women to be unable to hold their urine.

In short, if you find that you always can't hold your urine, it means that you may have a certain disease, especially for women who do not pay attention to their private hygiene, they may have urinary diseases. Therefore, ladies, please do not avoid seeing a doctor because of your face. This is a very unwise approach.
