Why does sperm implantation bleeding occur?

Why does sperm implantation bleeding occur?

Most women may be aware of this phenomenon. , it is sperm implantation bleeding, but not many people know the cause of this phenomenon. The so-called sperm implantation bleeding refers to the bleeding phenomenon three or four days after the fertilized egg combines with the female egg. We call this phenomenon implantation bleeding. This is a normal phenomenon and will not affect normal conception or cause any harm to the growth of the fetus.

1. Description of the disease

The implantation of the fertilized egg occurs about six days after fertilization. At this time, most mothers do not have any particularly obvious reaction. A few women will have some red or pink blood, which is called implantation bleeding.

2. Causes

There will be no bleeding when the fertilized egg implants normally. If the woman happens to ovulate during intercourse and the man's sperm is well motile, conception can usually occur within twenty-four to forty-eight hours. The woman will not feel anything when the fertilized egg implants. Only a small number of people will bleed a small amount when the fertilized egg implants due to physiological and physical problems. Implantation bleeding is a type of dysfunctional uterine bleeding (dysfunctional uterine bleeding). Since an ovarian follicle gradually develops and matures in every menstrual cycle of women of childbearing age, the estrogen level in the body also gradually increases. When the mature follicle ruptures and ovulates, the estrogen level in the body will drop sharply, making it impossible to maintain the growth of the endometrium, causing local necrosis and exfoliation of the endometrium and manifesting as vaginal bleeding. After ovulation, the follicle quickly forms a corpus luteum, which can secrete a certain amount of estrogen and progesterone to quickly repair the ruptured endometrium, and the bleeding will stop automatically.

Impact

After conception, some pregnant women will still have a small amount of menstrual-like bleeding in that month, generally without other accompanying symptoms (such as abdominal pain, menstrual discomfort). This may just be a physiological response to the implantation of the fertilized egg. This condition does not require treatment, just keep it clean and it will not affect the development of the embryo.

Symptoms

The fertilized egg implants, and there are pink blood in the secretions but not much, a small amount of blood, or blood spots. It can be seen three times a day, usually for several days, and the time is about the same as the usual menstrual period. Some implantation bleeding is like this, about a week earlier than usual, without any discomfort, and can last for about three or four days. Some are bright red blood, while others are brown. Some people don't seem to have any bleeding at all. Excessive bleeding means that the implantation is firm and miscarriage is not likely to occur. The process of egg and sperm combining is called fertilization. It usually occurs in the ampulla of the fallopian tube. The fertilized egg (also known as the pregnant egg) gradually invades the uterine cavity under the movement of the cilia in the fallopian tube endometrium and the peristalsis of the tube wall. The fertilized egg gradually divides and develops during the movement process. Its trophoblast cells can secrete protease to dissolve the surface of the endometrium in contact with it, forming a gap. The fertilized egg is buried in the endometrium through this gap, and the gap is quickly repaired. This process is called implantation of the fertilized egg. It takes about 7 to 8 days from fertilization to implantation of the fertilized egg. The implantation site is mostly on the anterior or posterior wall of the upper part of the uterine body. The gap is usually repaired on the eleventh to twelfth day after fertilization. After the fertilized egg implants, it gradually develops into an embryo and its appendages that establish connection with the mother, such as the placenta, fetal membranes, umbilical cord and amniotic fluid.

5. Treatment

When fertilized egg implantation bleeding occurs, generally no treatment is required and no discomfort will occur. Just pay attention to daily health care. In addition, bleeding in early pregnancy is sometimes not implantation bleeding. You must be alert to certain pathological bleeding, such as ectopic pregnancy.

Not all women will experience sperm implantation bleeding. Only a small number of women will have this phenomenon. When this phenomenon occurs, there is no need to worry too much. As long as you maintain an optimistic attitude, it will not affect the growth of the fetus. In daily life, you should pay attention to strengthening your diet and nutrition, avoid other problems during pregnancy, and go to the hospital regularly for prenatal check-ups to reduce the possibility of ectopic pregnancy.
