What to do if pregnant women have back pain

During the entire pregnancy process, pregnant women often experience some physical discomfort. So what should pregnant women do if they have back pain? First of all, pregnant friends need to know what back pain is so that they can take appropriate measures to protect and regulate it. In fact, this is mainly because the fetus gradually grows and the load on the waist increases. As long as you pay attention to rest and supplement more nutrition, the effect is still good.

There will be early pregnancy reactions, one of which is fatigue. If you stand, sit or walk for a long time at this time, it will cause back pain. This is normal. After pregnancy, as the uterus continues to grow, the center of gravity of the body gradually moves forward. When standing or walking, in order to maintain the center of gravity balance, the expectant mother naturally leans her shoulders and head back and straightens her chest. This posture causes excessive lordosis of the spine and excessive fatigue of the lower back muscles, which leads to pain.

It is recommended that you pay more attention to rest and proper exercise. At the same time, massage, bathing, and other methods can be used to relieve pain. Take breaks and avoid standing or walking for long periods of time. If the lower back pain is severe, a belly belt can be used to support the enlarged uterus and reduce the tension of the lumbar muscles. Do exercises to relieve back pain. If the lower back pain is accompanied by pain in the right lower abdomen, and the pain extends to the right thigh, and there are symptoms such as frequent urination and urgency, you should seek medical attention immediately.

It may be caused by fetal compression. You can try changing your sleeping position. Knee pain is not necessarily caused by calcium deficiency. Sometimes pain can be caused by compression of nerves when the fetus moves. Calcium supplementation does not depend on how much calcium you take and how much you absorb. It mainly depends on your daily diet. Drinking more milk, bone soup, and getting proper sun exposure in the morning and evening are better than any other calcium sources.

After excluding heart disease and gallbladder disease, it is best to rest in bed for a few days for back pain and avoid frequent and strenuous upper limb exercise.

Sometimes, back pain is caused by an incorrect curvature of the spine. The curvature of a pregnant woman's spine changes greatly due to the influence of the gradually growing uterus, which can easily cause intervertebral disc herniation and muscle strain. In addition to resting in bed, reducing activity and relieving stress, if the severe pain affects your life and causes movement disorders, you can undergo local physical therapy to improve symptoms and pay attention to keeping warm.

Now that everyone knows what to do if pregnant women have back pain, there is no need to worry about the pain affecting their normal life. It is indeed very hard for pregnant women to be pregnant for ten months, but they must also master some methods and techniques so as not to let their bodies bear greater burdens due to pressure from the fetus. They must also pay attention to proper exercise and get more rest.
