What is the thickness of the endometrium after menstruation?

During the menstrual period, women should arrange their diet, mood, and work and rest in a reasonable manner, otherwise it will have a great impact on their bodies. If women are in a bad mood during menstruation, they will have some other diseases in their bodies, which is not very good for themselves. If the menstrual flow is too much during the menstrual period, you can choose some simple liquid food in your diet, which will help alleviate the problem of menstrual flow. What is the thickness of the endometrium after menstruation?

Post-menstrual endometrial thickness:

Generally speaking, the normal thickness of the endometrium before menstruation is 5-10mm, but since the thickness of the endometrium is not completely constant and will show different symptoms in different periods, female friends should also understand the thickness in other periods.

How thick is the endometrium after menstruation?

1. Proliferative phase: Around the 5th to 9th day of the menstrual cycle, the endometrium is very thin. In the early stages of proliferation, the endometrium appears as a thin echo line, about 4-6 mm thick. In the middle stage of hyperplasia, the endometrium gradually shows three strong echo lines, and the low echo area in between is two layers of functional endometrium with a thickness of about 8-10mm. In the late stage of hyperplasia, the thickness of the endometrium increases to about 9-10 mm.

2. Secretory phase: During the 15th to 19th day of menstruation, which is 1 to 5 days after ovulation, the endometrium continues to thicken and the gland further enlarges and curves. Around the 20th to 24th day of the menstrual cycle, which is 6 to 10 days after ovulation, the endometrium shows a high degree of secretory activity, and the curvature and expansion of the glands reach their peak. During the late secretory phase, the normal thickness of the endometrium before menstruation is about 5-6mm.

3. Menstrual period: Day 1-4 of the menstrual cycle. At this time, the levels of estrogen and progesterone decrease, activating the synthesis of prostaglandins in the endometrium. Prostaglandins can stimulate the contraction of the uterine muscle layer and cause continuous spasm of the spiral arterioles in the functional layer of the endometrium, resulting in a decrease in endometrial blood flow. The area of damaged, ischemic, and necrotic tissue gradually expands. Tissue degeneration and necrosis, increased permeability of the blood vessel wall, and rupture of the blood vessels lead to the formation of hematoma at the bottom of the intima, which promotes tissue necrosis and exfoliation. The degenerated and necrotic endometrium mixes with blood and is discharged to form menstrual blood. The normal thickness of the endometrium can reach 8-10mm.

After understanding the thickness of the endometrium after menstruation, if a woman has any adverse physical condition after menstruation, she should relieve it in time. It should also be noted that women should reduce the choice of some greasy and spicy foods after menstruation, as these foods are not of much help to the female body.
