What happened if my period hasn’t come for a month?

Menstruation is something that people both love and hate. When it doesn’t come, you will worry about why it doesn’t come and whether you are pregnant. But when it comes, you will feel that you can’t eat delicious food for this week and can only eat some very ordinary things. The menstrual cycle is very normal. If it is abnormal, it means that there is something wrong with your body. What’s going on if your period hasn’t come for a month?

First, pregnancy

If a woman's menstruation, which has always been normal, is suddenly delayed for 7 days or more after having sexual intercourse, you can consider whether you are pregnant. Generally speaking, the longer the menstrual period is, and the more early pregnancy symptoms there are, the greater the possibility of pregnancy.

Second, endocrine disorders

Endocrine reasons such as polycystic ovary syndrome and premature ovarian failure in women can also lead to delayed menstruation. Timely examinations should be conducted and treatment should be initiated as soon as abnormalities are found.

Third, too much pressure

If women of childbearing age are under long-term stress, the function of the pituitary gland will be suppressed, causing the ovaries to no longer secrete female hormones and ovulate, and menstruation will begin to become disordered. Similarly, long-term depression, sulking or bad mood can also affect menstruation.

Fourth, abuse of drugs

Misuse or frequent use of large amounts of antibiotics can cause menstrual disorders, anovulation, and amenorrhea in women. This may be because the drugs suppress and damage a person's own resistance, leading to body dysfunction. Endocrine disorders after long-term use of contraceptives can also cause delayed menstruation.

During menstruation, do not eat irritating food, drink more brown sugar water, and try not to eat fruit, as this will cause body cold. For some female friends with cold body, do not eat raw or cold food during menstruation. You should pay attention to this in normal times, maintain good sleep, and it is important to supplement nutrition during this period.
