Why is leucorrhea transparent and yellow?

Under normal circumstances, leucorrhea must be white. If it turns yellow and transparent, it is likely that you have a gynecological disease. Women must not indulge in the development of symptoms at this time, otherwise it may pose a great threat to their health. Once it becomes serious, it will be difficult to cure. But why does leucorrhea appear yellow? Let me explain it to you in detail.

1. Senile vaginitis: The leucorrhea is yellow watery or purulent, the amount of leucorrhea increases and has a foul odor, the leucorrhea contains blood, and there is a feeling of heaviness and burning in the lower abdomen and vagina. Senile vaginitis is common in elderly women after menopause. It is caused by the decline of ovarian function, decreased estrogen levels, atrophy of the vaginal wall, thinning of the mucosa, decreased glycogen content in epithelial cells, increased pH in the vagina, and reduced local resistance, making it easy for pathogenic bacteria to invade and multiply, causing inflammation.

2. Cervical erosion: The leucorrhea is yellow, increases in volume, is purulent, and is mostly odorless. Cervical erosion is caused by inflammatory stimulation, which causes the epithelial cells covering the surface of the cervix to fall off, while the columnar epithelial cells underneath protrude outward and replace the fallen epithelium. Because the capillaries of the columnar epithelium are exposed, the inflamed area appears bright red, so it is called cervical erosion.

3. Candidal vaginitis: The leucorrhea is yellow or white, and will appear typical tofu dregs or curd-like, accompanied by vulvar itching. Most of the time, it is thick in texture, but sometimes it can be thin and slightly smelly. Candidiasis is caused by fungal infection, which can destroy the normal weakly acidic environment in the vagina. Inflammatory cells can phagocytize sperm, weakening the activity of sperm. Fungi can also agglutinate sperm, so it will have a certain impact on conception.

After reading this article in detail, I have basically understood what is going on to a large extent. However, simple understanding cannot make the patient return to normal. It should be noted that instrument examination and drug treatment should be carried out in time. The editor also hopes that the patient can be treated as soon as possible so that he can stay healthy.
