Will ovulation occur four days before menstruation?

Some people like children very much and also want to have the fruit of their own love. Some people are not in a hurry to have children. Therefore, it is very important to determine the arrival of the egg, that is, the ovulation period. This was one of the important turning points in my life afterwards. So when is ovulation? Are the days before menstruation considered the ovulation period?

The period before ovulation is called the follicular phase, and the period after ovulation is the luteal phase. Menstrual bleeding will come at the end of the luteal phase. The length of each person's follicular phase varies, but the luteal phase is relatively fixed, about 14 days.

If you want to know your ovulation day accurately, you can buy a urine ovulation test paper, which looks very similar to a pregnancy test stick. Once the egg is released, it will move through the fallopian tube toward the uterine cavity regardless of whether you have sexual intercourse or not. If there is no fertilization in the fallopian tube, the egg will not survive in about one to two days. It will generally be broken down and absorbed by the body, and some of it will be excreted from the body when menstruation comes.

Since an unfertilized egg can only survive for one or two days after ovulation, the period until the next menstrual period (premenstrual period) is considered a safe period.

But there are still a few things to note. The calculation of the safe period cannot only consider the survival time of the egg. Because ovulation is not always on the exact day, you need to add a margin of error of about two to three days. In addition, sperm can still survive in the female body for about three days, so this should also be taken into consideration. Therefore, some people often regard the five days before and four days after ovulation as the dangerous period. It takes about ten days for the egg to move from the fallopian tube to the endometrium and implant itself in the uterus. So these few days are the so-called safe period!

So, based on the above, the first four days of menstruation are not considered the ovulation period, but this is not necessarily absolute, so you still need to pay attention to taking certain protective measures when engaging in sexual intercourse on a daily basis. If you are still worried, you can go to the hospital in time for a series of examinations.
