The vagina is a reproductive organ unique to female friends and is a private part. People are usually embarrassed to tell others about this part of their body when they have problems with their body. Sometimes, some female friends experience vaginal bleeding during their non-menstrual period, accompanied by lower back pain. At this time, you can no longer avoid seeing a doctor and must go to the hospital for a check-up, because this is most likely a symptom of pelvic inflammatory disease. How did this happen? See below. Pelvic inflammatory disease refers to inflammation of the female upper reproductive tract and its surrounding tissues, mainly including endometritis, salpingitis, tubo-ovarian abscess, and pelvic peritonitis. Inflammation can be limited to one part or affect several parts at the same time. The most common ones are salpingitis and salpingo-oophoritis. Pelvic inflammatory disease often occurs in women who are sexually active, especially those who have sexual intercourse for the first time at a young age, have sex too frequently, have multiple sexual partners, or whose sexual partners have sexually transmitted diseases. Among these patients, there are more young women than middle-aged women. Unclean sexual intercourse is an important cause of pelvic inflammatory disease. Many young people are so excited before sex that they ignore local hygiene and rush into it. After repeated sexual intercourse, there is no timely urination or cleaning, and even sexual intercourse during menstruation, which causes bacteria to ascend and infect the pelvic cavity, causing pelvic inflammatory disease. It can be summarized into the following six categories. (1) Ovarian endocrine dysfunction. The most common one is dysfunctional uterine bleeding. (2) Uterine bleeding related to pregnancy. Common ones include miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, hydatidiform mole, partial placental retention after delivery, incomplete uterine involution, etc. (3) Inflammation. Common ones include vulvar ulcers, vaginal caruncle, vaginitis, cervicitis, cervical polyps and endometritis. (4)Tumor. Such as uterine fibroids, vulvar cancer, vaginal cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, uterine sarcoma, ovarian cancer and choriocarcinoma. (5) Injury, foreign matter and drugs. Common reproductive tract trauma such as vulvar and vaginal straddle injuries, and hymen or vaginal injuries caused by sexual intercourse can all cause bleeding. Uterine bleeding is often a complication of IUD insertion. Improper use of estrogen and progesterone can cause irregular vaginal bleeding. (6) Vaginal bleeding related to systemic disease. Such as thrombocytopenic purpura, aplastic anemia, leukemia, hypothyroidism, liver damage, etc. If you have pelvic inflammatory disease, you must cooperate with the doctor's instructions and actively cooperate with the treatment. At the same time, female friends should also improve their self-protection awareness, for example, have sexual intercourse in moderation, strengthen their own health awareness, take good contraceptive measures, and avoid abortions or reduce the number of abortions. Even after recovery, an ultrasound scan should be performed for a thorough examination. |
