How many eggs does a woman produce each month?

Women who are preparing for pregnancy usually consult their doctors about how many eggs they lay each month, when they ovulate, how often they ovulate, whether it is a fixed ovulation date, whether they ovulate only on those ten days, or if they ovulate every day for 10 days. So, how many eggs do women lay each month?

As a mature woman, generally speaking. Only one mature egg is released in a month. Some will ovulate two, but the chance is very small, which is what we think of as twins, but it is very rare. It has long been believed that women only ovulate once a month, and ultimately only one follicle can survive and be fertilized. The other unfertilized follicles will be discharged from the body with menstruation. Each ovulation usually occurs 14 days before the next menstruation, and it is very easy to get pregnant before and after the ovulation period.

Women of normal reproductive age ovulate once a month, approximately 12-16 days before the next menstrual period. The egg has the strongest fertilization ability within 6 hours after being released from the ovary, and can maintain fertilization ability for about 30 hours. After that, the egg begins to degenerate, and the fertilization ability rapidly weakens and disappears. Although sperm ejaculated into the female reproductive tract can survive for up to 4 to 5 days, its strong fertilization ability lasts only for 1 to 2 days. In other words, conception is only possible if sexual intercourse occurs within 1 to 2 days before or after a woman's ovulation. After a normal person ejaculates, sperm enters the uterine cavity and can survive for about 2 to 3 days, but its fertility can only be maintained for 1 to 2 days. Sperm that does not enter the uterine cavity and remains in the vagina will not survive for more than 1 day.

Nowadays, technology is very advanced. You can check whether you are pregnant by checking cervical mucus, self-testing with test strips, B-ultrasound examination, and observing leucorrhea, or observe whether you are ovulating by the mechanism of basal body temperature changes. If you ovulate and bleed during the period, you should stay in bed, keep the area clean, apply hot compresses, etc., and avoid spicy and irritating foods to prevent excessive bleeding.
