Why is prolactin high in women?

If a woman's prolactin level is high, it will cause serious harm to her body. Therefore, for women who pursue health, in order to prevent high prolactin from affecting their health, they want to improve it through effective treatment. There are many women with high prolactin who want to be treated through traditional Chinese medicine. So what treatments does traditional Chinese medicine know? Let's take a look at the following introduction.

Although TCM has not studied the changes in serum PRL levels at the microscopic level, it has a wealth of knowledge about the main clinical manifestations of this disease: amenorrhea, galactorrhea, and infertility. For example, the book "Zhulin Nvke" states that amenorrhea is "caused by excessive milk and insufficient blood". Based on the main clinical symptoms and the principle of seeking solid evidence, the etiology and pathogenesis are discussed as follows:

The balance between the Kidney, Chong, Ren and Uterus is an important part of maintaining normal menstruation and reproduction. The amenorrhea, low estrogen level symptoms and infertility caused by HP are consistent with the "kidney deficiency" theory of modern research. When the liver qi is disordered, qi and blood cannot descend to the uterus and turn into menstrual blood, but go up through the liver meridian and turn into breast milk. The kidney is Gui water, and the liver is Yi wood, and Yi and Gui have the same origin. When the kidney yin is deficient and the liver loses its nourishment, it loses its function of clearing and unblocking, then it becomes depressed and blocked, and menstrual blood cannot flow downward, resulting in amenorrhea and milk overflow. When the liver is depressed, it cannot reach the spleen and earth, and the spleen loses its healthy function, causing phlegm and dampness to block the body. When the liver is depressed, qi stagnation and blood stasis occur. Therefore, the pathogenesis of this disease should be based on kidney deficiency and liver depression, which results in a series of symptoms of imbalance in organ functions.

1. Kidney deficiency. Kidney deficiency caused by constitution, excessive sexual intercourse, frequent childbirth, long-term illness affecting the kidney, or taking certain western medicines can lead to kidney deficiency. Kidney deficiency causes dysfunction of storage and impairment of qi transformation, which makes it impossible for the internal organs – tiangui – chongren – uterus to function in a coordinated manner. Therefore, menstrual blood cannot reach the uterus and goes up to leak out into the milk.

2. Liver depression. The patient may be depressed, emotionally challenged, with liver stagnation turning into fire, or dampness and heat in the liver meridians, or have an irritable temperament. When anger rushes up, the circulation of qi and blood becomes disordered, and instead of following the normal meridians, they follow the liver qi up to the breasts and turn into milk.

3. Spleen deficiency. The disease is caused by a deficiency of the spleen due to constitution, or damage to the spleen due to diet or fatigue, weak spleen and stomach, dysfunction of transportation and transformation, accumulation of water and dampness turning into dampness and phlegm, blocking the Chong and Ren meridians of Qi and blood, or spleen deficiency and dysfunction of control, resulting in disorder of Qi and blood.

As the kidney is the foundation of the innate constitution, and the spleen is the foundation of the acquired constitution; the liver stores blood and is responsible for the release of qi; the kidney stores essence and is responsible for the storage, and the liver and kidney have the same origin; the spleen's transportation and transformation depends on the smooth flow of the liver, the three organs coordinate with each other physiologically and influence each other pathologically. Therefore, it is often difficult to distinguish them clinically. Qi stagnation can cause blood stasis, and phlegm-dampness stagnation can also cause blood stasis. Dampness, phlegm, depression and blood stasis can not only affect the functions of the above-mentioned organs, but are also the main pathological products of the dysfunction of the above-mentioned organs.

The above content specifically introduces the traditional Chinese medicine treatment of high prolactin in women. I believe that through the above introduction, you have also understood the specific treatment methods. Therefore, after understanding the above content, in order to effectively control your own high prolactin, you should undergo traditional Chinese medicine treatment as soon as possible. I believe that it can achieve good treatment results.
