What are the causes of anovulation?

Menstruation is a physiological characteristic of women. In addition to menstruation, there is also an ovulation period every month. This ovulation period is very important. Only during this stage can women become pregnant. If there is no ovulation period, it will not be easy to get pregnant, which will affect your future conception. What are the causes of menstruation without ovulation?

1. Puberty

The blood E2 level of adolescent patients with functional uterine bleeding is within the normal range of women of childbearing age, but there is no normal blood LH and FSH peak in the middle of the menstrual cycle, suggesting that the cause is an abnormal positive feedback response of the hypothalamus-pituitary gland to estrogen. It takes some time for the normal function of the central nervous system-hypothalamus-pituitary-ovarian axis to be established during adolescence. If you are overworked, stressed, or affected by genetic factors such as obesity and insulin resistance at this time, it may cause functional uterine bleeding or other menstrual disorders, such as polycystic ovary syndrome.

2. Menopausal transition

At this time, women have low follicular reserves, reduced sensitivity to gonadotropins, or reduced responsiveness of the hypothalamus-pituitary gland to positive feedback regulation of sex hormones. Luteal insufficiency, intermittent or irregular ovulation, and eventually ovulation stops may occur. At this time, the follicles still have a certain degree of development, but they are slow, inadequate, or degenerate irregularly, which is not enough to cause positive feedback, resulting in insufficient or absent progesterone levels and causing this disease.

3. Childbearing age

Temporary anovulation may be caused by certain internal or external stimuli, such as fatigue, stress, miscarriage, surgery or illness. Persistent anovulation may also be caused by factors such as obesity, polycystic ovary syndrome, and hyperprolactinemia.

Menstruation without ovulation is a disease for women, which has serious impact on offspring and affects one's marriage status. It will also have a certain impact on our physical condition and have a great harmful effect on our physical health. Pay attention to women's physical health.
