Methods of ultrasound examination during pregnancy

Every B-ultrasound examination is essential for a pregnant friend. Every B-ultrasound examination is to see whether the fetus is developing well. There are so many symptoms of fetal development every week. Pregnant friends are worried that the radiation from the B-ultrasound examination will affect themselves. Next, let us take everyone to understand it together.

Generally speaking, pregnant women should undergo at least four B-ultrasounds during the entire process of pregnancy to delivery. The first is within 50 days of pregnancy to rule out the possibility of ectopic pregnancy. The second is between 14 and 20 weeks of pregnancy, when eugenics examinations are conducted to rule out fetal malformations, and B-ultrasound is needed to determine the exact gestational age. The third is a color ultrasound examination at 24 to 28 weeks of pregnancy, mainly to diagnose visible malformations. The fourth is at 32 to 40 weeks, mainly to observe the size, maturity and amniotic fluid status of the fetus through B-ultrasound, as a reference for choosing the time and method of delivery.

Experts believe that each pregnant woman has individual differences, and not everyone needs to undergo four B-ultrasounds. For some pregnant women with poor fetal heart rate or other abnormalities, B-ultrasound is one of the important means to monitor the fetus and ensure the safety of the child, and the number of times it is performed will be significantly more.
