Causes of small amounts of pelvic fluid

Causes of small amounts of pelvic fluid

A small amount of pelvic fluid effusion usually occurs in pregnant women or female friends. It is mainly caused by physiological reasons. For example, a small amount of pelvic fluid will appear in female friends during their menstrual period. For cases of small amounts of pelvic effusion, we recommend that patients should pay attention to it in their lives, maintain a good attitude, and pay more attention to their diet. Today we will also introduce to you the causes and treatments of this disease.

There are two types of pelvic effusion: physiological effusion and pathological effusion. Physiological pelvic effusion often occurs after ovulation or in early pregnancy. It generally causes no discomfort and disappears naturally without the need for treatment. But most pelvic effusions are caused by inflammation, that is, by exudation from chronic pelvic inflammation. A few cases are caused by ectopic pregnancy rupture, corpus luteum rupture, pelvic abscess, chocolate cyst, and ovarian cancer. Acute or chronic pelvic inflammatory disease is often accompanied by lower abdominal pain (bilateral or unilateral), lumbar pain, and a history of abortion or medical abortion.

The specific reason for the effusion is that the serous exudate caused by inflammation cannot be absorbed by the body and slowly accumulates in the body. Pelvic effusion often occurs in lower parts of the pelvic cavity, such as the rectouterine pouch. The diagnosis of pelvic effusion is not difficult and can usually be diagnosed by B-ultrasound. Posterior fornix puncture or abdominal puncture is performed to extract the accumulated fluid for special laboratory tests to determine the cause and provide targeted treatment.

It is normal for women to have pelvic fluid accumulation, and this is also common among normal people. Pelvic effusion caused by acute or chronic pelvic inflammatory disease or adnexitis is often accompanied by lower abdominal pain (bilateral or unilateral), lumbosacral pain, low back pain, distending pain in the lower abdomen, pain in the waist, low back pain, etc., or aggravated by standing for a long time, overwork, sexual intercourse, or before menstruation, and in severe cases, it affects work. Or there may be lower abdominal pain, increased leucorrhea, menstrual disorders, heavy menstrual bleeding, dysmenorrhea, and sexual discomfort; the patient feels very uncomfortable and should immediately and actively seek treatment until the accumulated fluid is absorbed and dissipated.

For cases of small amounts of pelvic fluid accumulation, we recommend that patients should know what causes it. If it is caused by pathological reasons, we recommend that patients should pay attention to it and receive timely treatment. We also need to understand some treatments, and it is also necessary to prevent the occurrence of this disease.
