What is the cause of menstrual irregularity?

What is the cause of menstrual irregularity?

Nowadays, many women always have problems with irregular menstruation. Many women have problems with unclean menstruation. It is obvious that their menstruation has been going on for several days, but it is not clean. They are always troubled by this and don’t know what is going on. In fact, irregular menstruation is also a common gynecological disease. Now I will introduce to you the basic situation about unclean menstruation, I hope you can understand it.

This situation may be functional uterine bleeding caused by endocrine disorders. It is caused by endocrine disorders. Excessive mental stress, changes in environment and climate, malnutrition or metabolic disorders and other internal and external factors can cause ovarian dysfunction and affect the endometrium, leading to menstrual cycle disorders, prolonged menstruation and increased menstrual flow. According to a survey, more than 90% of adolescent girls and young women have functional uterine bleeding to varying degrees. Irregular menstruation without organic lesions in the reproductive organs is called functional uterine bleeding, or DUB for short.

The symptoms of functional uterine bleeding in young women are as follows: (1) Irregular uterine bleeding. Menstruation is early or late, with no regularity at all.

(2) Frequent menstruation. The menstrual cycle is shortened, generally less than 21 days, and the amount of bleeding and number of bleeding days are normal.

(3) Excessive menstrual flow. The menstrual cycle is normal, but the amount of bleeding each time is excessive, reaching hundreds of milliliters.

(4) Prolonged menstrual bleeding. Some women have normal menstrual cycles, but they may have a small amount of bleeding for several days before their period, and the bleeding is often dark in color. The bleeding continues for several days after their period, and may continue for more than ten days before and after their period.

(5) Ovulation bleeding. About 10 days after the menstruation ends, a small amount of bleeding begins to flow out of the vagina, sometimes stopping in a day or two. This is called ovulation bleeding. Dysfunctional uterine bleeding in adolescence is related to ovarian function. Under normal circumstances, the ovaries produce estrogen and progesterone, which change regularly and cause cyclical changes in the endometrium.

However, the ovaries of adolescent women have not yet matured, and the coordination between the hypothalamus, pituitary gland and ovaries is imperfect, making the function of the ovaries very unstable. In addition, the emotions of adolescent women are prone to fluctuate, and factors such as environmental and climate changes and malnutrition often affect the cerebral cortex's regulation of ovarian function.

This causes ovarian ovulation obstruction, which means that the ovarian follicles grow and increase without ovulating, thus continuously secreting estrogen. The endometrium is overproliferated and becomes very thick due to the long-term effect of estrogen. However, the amount of estrogen secretion is highly volatile. When the level of estrogen secretion decreases, the endometrium loses hormonal support and sheds and bleeds; when the level of estrogen secretion rises, uterine bleeding stops. Although Western medicine is effective in treating functional uterine bleeding, it has serious adverse reactions and many contraindications, which exclude many patients.

Traditional Chinese medicine has many methods to treat this disease, with unique effects, few side effects, and is not prone to recurrence. In addition, Chinese medicine follows the concept of treating patients based on individual conditions, location and time, and provides treatment based on each patient's specific conditions to achieve the goal of tailored treatment.

Pay attention to your physical health at ordinary times. To increase nutrition, eat more foods rich in protein, iron and vitamins, such as meat, eggs, milk, fresh vegetables and fruits. Combine work and rest in your life, avoid heavy physical labor and strenuous exercise, get enough sleep, be in a good spirit, and do not create unnecessary stress on your mind.

The above specifically introduces the basic situations about irregular menstruation, and also introduces methods to deal with irregular menstruation. If you also have this problem, you can try the above methods. I hope I can help you in life, and I wish you all a happy life!
