Methods for preventing and treating postpartum diseases

Women should pay attention to all aspects of their own problems after giving birth. Emotions, diet, work and rest, and exercise should all be arranged reasonably, otherwise it is easy to cause various diseases in the body. Women should sit in confinement after giving birth, which is very helpful for conditioning the body. During this stage, women should pay attention to their diet and cannot eat greasy food. Light food is the best choice. So how to prevent and treat confinement diseases after giving birth?

Methods for preventing and treating postpartum diseases:

1. Pay attention to rest and avoid fatigue.

After giving birth, the mother's endocrine system changes, the elasticity and strength of muscles and tendons throughout the body decrease, the tension of joint capsules and ligaments near the joints weakens, and the joints become loose. In this state, if the mother does too much housework too early or holds the baby too much, it will increase the burden on the joints, tendons and ligaments, and easily cause strain pain in the wrists, finger joints and other parts. Walking too much and not paying attention to keeping your feet warm will cause the fat pad at the bottom of the heel to become thinner, degenerate, and lose elasticity, which can easily lead to edema, congestion and other inflammations in the heel fat pad, causing pain.

2. Keep warm and avoid catching cold. Cold stimulation such as direct convection wind can induce neuritis, leading to numbness and pain in the hands and feet, or symptoms such as shoulder joint pain.

3. Adhere to the correct bathing method

① Generally, you can soak your feet three days after delivery, and take a bath and wash your hair one week after delivery, but you must stick to sponge baths and not take tub baths, so as to avoid dirty water used for bathing entering the reproductive tract and causing infection. You can take a bath one week after the lochia is discharged.

②It is strictly forbidden to touch cold water. During the confinement period, the water for washing hair, hands, sponge bath and bath must be completely boiled and used when it reaches a suitable temperature. Only after it is completely boiled can the cold in the water be completely removed, thereby preventing postpartum diseases. Remember not to add raw water or mix them. Many mothers report that they still have pain in the joints of their hands and feet, chills, and cold air even though they did not touch cold water during the confinement period. This is the reason.

③When preparing bath water, you can add some compound or single Chinese herbal medicines to cook together, combining bathing with disease prevention. It is recommended that during the confinement period, the mother should prepare a large thermos bottle at home, and use the medicine pack Lei's daily washing and care pack or Lei's postpartum medicinal bath pack to boil a pot of bath water every day for the mother to wash her hands, feet, hair, and take a bath.

④ After washing your hair, hands or taking a bath, dry them as soon as possible and avoid wind and keep warm.

Through understanding the methods of preventing and treating postpartum diseases, women should pay attention to the above matters when they are in confinement. Moreover, women’s emotions should not fluctuate too much during the confinement period, otherwise it will harm their own health. Women should not sit or lie down frequently during the confinement period. Walking moderately will help promote blood circulation in the body.
