Why do women have stomach pain after sex?

Many female friends often feel stomach pain after having sex. Because they don’t know the reason and are embarrassed to ask others, it is easy to cause trouble. We say that this may be a physiological problem or caused by some underlying disease. Today we will mainly discuss the following four factors that may cause stomach pain after sex, hoping to give some reference to female friends who are troubled.

There are two reasons why women experience abdominal pain during sexual intercourse: physiological and pathological. There are four main reasons:

1. It may be that the man used too much force or the position was improper. If the man is too rough during sexual intercourse, the woman's abdominal pressure will suddenly increase, the uterus, rectum and bladder will be squeezed by gravity, and the intestine will undergo reverse peristalsis, causing abdominal pain. If the woman is on top, the position of the uterus, appendages and other organs may easily change, and exert a pulling effect on the surrounding tissues, causing dull pain in the lower abdomen and waist. This pain usually subsides on its own when sexual intercourse ends.

2. If sexual intercourse lasts too long, the persistent sexual impulse will cause prolonged pelvic congestion, and may also cause female pelvic congestion syndrome and abdominal pain. Changing body positions appropriately during sexual intercourse, such as lying on your side, can help the pelvic blood flow out and relieve symptoms.

3. Pelvic inflammation (such as vaginitis, cervicitis, pelvic inflammatory disease, etc.) can cause persistent pain in the lower abdomen of women, and the symptoms will be aggravated by local irritation and congestion caused by sexual intercourse. This pathological symptom is easily distinguished from the previous ones in that the pain persists for a long time and does not ease with the end of sexual intercourse. Women can also go to the hospital for a gynecological examination to identify the cause of the disease.

4. Pain during sexual intercourse in pregnant women is mostly caused by semen. Because the prostaglandins in semen can cause uterine contractions in women, especially those who are pregnant, this can not only cause abdominal pain, but may even lead to premature birth or miscarriage. Therefore, sexual intercourse should be moderate during pregnancy. Some women are allergic to men's semen or condoms, which causes systemic allergies and allergic abdominal pain. Changing your birth control method may stop the pain.

From the above, we know the possible factors that may cause women to have abdominal pain during sexual intercourse. The external factors are mainly improper posture, rough force or too long time, which may require the man to be more considerate. The internal factors may be inflammation caused by certain diseases and cause pain. This needs to be taken seriously. If it does not ease within a short period of time, you still need to consult a professional doctor.
