How many months is a woman pregnant?

When we watch costume dramas, we don’t usually say that a woman is pregnant, but just say that she is pregnant with a cup, in other words, she is pregnant with six months. Many people are curious about how many months of pregnancy it takes. Let’s take a look at the actual time below.

According to the certificate, this should come from the Taoist art of sex, which believes that Liujia is the life when God created the world and all things, and it is also the life when women are prone to pregnancy. It is used to express blessings when people pray for children. With the development of society and the evolution of language, it gradually becomes a specific reference to women's pregnancy.

The "Six Jias" in "Sui Shu Jingji Zhi San" talks about a woman's pregnancy. The six Jia days, namely Jiazi, Jiayin, Jiachen, Jiawu, Jiashen and Jiaxu, are the days when God created the world. This day represents the beginning and end of life, and it is also the day when women are most likely to get pregnant, so a woman's pregnancy is called "six Jias".

The origin of Liujia here is the five elements of heavenly stems and earthly branches. Liujia is 60 basic combinations of ten heavenly stems and twelve earthly branches, which were used by ancient people to keep time. Among them, Jiazi year, Jiayin, Jiachen, Jiawu, Jiashen and Jiaxu have a total of 60 decades, each decade consists of 10 heavenly stems and earthly branches, with Jia as the first, collectively known as Liujia, also called "Sixty Huajia". A person can only spend one sixty years in his life, which is only 60 years. In ancient times, people generally died before the age of 60, and very few people could live beyond 120 years old. Therefore, ancient people used Liujia to describe a person's life. Liujia naturally represents a life period, which means that Liujia is a life.

In addition, there is another way to describe Liujia, which means being pregnant with Liujia means having a person. Among them, Jia represents Yang Wood in the Yin-Yang Five Elements. Yang is a solid line, and wood is growth by nature. Therefore, the simple representation of Jia here is a growing entity.

The six Jias refer to Jiayin - the wood god, representing bones; Jiashen - the metal god, representing teeth and claws; Jiaxu - the earth god, representing muscles; Jiachen - the wind god, representing aura; Jiawu - the war god, representing warmth; and Jiazi - the water god, representing the depths and marshes. The wood god is the liver, the war god is the heart, the earth god is the spleen, the metal god is the lungs, the water god is the kidneys, and the wind god is the gallbladder. The six Jias make up one body.
