Alternate feeding

Alternate feeding

Only when the exclusive breastfeeding method is correct can the baby get more adequate nutrition and ensure the baby's healthier growth. And the correct feeding method can prevent the baby from developing ear inflammation and oral diseases, and make the mother's body more comfortable. Incorrect feeding methods are not conducive to exclusive breastfeeding. So do I need to alternate between feeding on both sides when breastfeeding?

Breastfeeding should be alternated between the two sides, which can ensure that the baby can get enough milk and will not cause mothers to have different milk after weaning. During lactation, due to the changes in growth hormone in the human body, the strength of mothers' muscles decreases. If they maintain a feeding posture for a long time, the pressure on joints and tendons will increase, causing pain in the body. The best feeding posture for breastfeeding is that both parties feel comfortable, which will be more conducive to the baby's sucking and avoid compressing the normal growth of the frontal bone.

Alternating breastfeeding from both breasts during lactation can effectively prevent the two breasts from being of different sizes after breastfeeding. In addition, alternating breastfeeding in this way will be more conducive to the direct secretion of breast milk and the mother's breasts will not easily develop lumps due to milk engorgement.

When the mother is breastfeeding, the two breasts should be fed alternately. When switching breasts, you can put a clean little finger between the baby's gums and slowly loosen the nipple. Not only do you need to alternate between the two breasts during a breastfeeding session, but you also need to alternate between the two breasts each time you start breastfeeding.

In addition, no matter which feeding posture is adopted, the baby's body needs to be closely connected with the mother, and the lips and nipples must be at the same level. Be in a good mood, have a comfortable posture, and ensure that all muscles in your body are relieved of stress during breastfeeding. The interval between breastfeeding should not be too long, otherwise the baby's feeling of hunger will increase, and too much air will enter during the sucking process, causing the baby to choke on milk.
