It is recommended that people with lactose intolerance start by drinking 30-60 ml of milk per day and slowly increase to 250 ml per day. Since the lactose tolerance dose may vary between individuals, you can determine your own lactose limit under the guidance of medical staff.

Take with other foods

When consuming dairy products, consume them together with daily foods such as grains, vegetables, and fruits. This mixed consumption method can effectively slow down the absorption of lactose in the intestines, thereby reducing the frequency and severity of intolerance symptoms. You can also choose to consume a certain amount of prebiotics/probiotics and other foods together with dairy products under the guidance of a doctor or nutritionist.

People who are lactose intolerant should avoid drinking milk or eating cream on an empty stomach, and control the intake of other foods with added lactose, such as frozen foods, candies, cakes and sauces.

Choose low-lactose dairy products

Dairy products that have been fermented, such as yogurt and cheese, are ideal for people with lactose intolerance. There are also some "low-lactose" and "lactose-free" dairy products on the market.
