Do you know these postpartum care knowledge?

Pregnancy and childbirth are one of the most important processes in a woman's life! This process not only has a very significant impact and change on every woman's body. It will also be a great challenge for women's psychology, because there will be another little life calling you "mother" in the future. However, after a safe childbirth, it does not mean the victory of the staged task. On the contrary, another difficult challenge will begin. Therefore, today I will share with you some correct postpartum care knowledge for women!

1. Lochia

Lochia refers to the mixed tissue and structure of blood, white blood cells, and endometrial components that flow out of the body along the uterine cavity as the uterine decidua continues to shed after natural childbirth or cesarean section. This process is called lochia discharge. Postpartum lochia usually lasts for 3 to 4 weeks and is often divided into the following stages:

1. Bloody lochia: Vaginal bleeding in the first few days after delivery;

2. Lochia: A light pink, large amount of vaginal discharge may appear in the next 1-2 weeks. It is composed of a small amount of blood, uterine decidua, a small amount of fetal membrane, and some white blood cells, bacteria, etc.

3. Lochia alba: The last 1-2 weeks are lochia alba, the main components of which are shed endometrium, as well as a large number of white blood cells and bacteria.

2. Excessive sweating after childbirth

Sweating after childbirth may be a normal phenomenon, but it may also be caused by postpartum sweating syndrome. The cause should be identified and treated in time with the help of a professional doctor through observation, smell, questioning and palpation.

1. Normal phenomenon: Postpartum sweating is mostly a normal physiological regulation phenomenon. It is caused by excessive consumption of Yin blood during childbirth, disharmony between Ying and Wei, and floating of Yang Qi. However, it should also be noted that the indoor temperature should not be too high, and windows should be opened appropriately for ventilation to maintain indoor air circulation.

2. Postpartum sweating syndrome: It is often caused by Qi deficiency or Yin deficiency in parturient women, i.e. internal heat forcing the body fluid. According to the cause, it is divided into Qi deficiency spontaneous sweating syndrome and Yin deficiency night sweating syndrome. Qi deficiency syndrome can be treated with Guipi Pills, Buzhong Yiqi Pills, Yupingfeng Powder, etc. according to the doctor's advice. Yin deficiency syndrome can be treated with Zuogui Pills, Dabuyin Pills, etc. according to the doctor's advice.

You should pay attention to nutritional supplements after delivery, otherwise you will become physically weak. You can eat more nutritious foods. At the same time, you should pay attention to rest more and avoid overwork to avoid affecting recovery.

3. Uterine recovery

The biggest change after childbirth is the uterus, and the return of the uterus to its pre-pregnancy size is an important sign of the mother's physical recovery after childbirth. Before pregnancy, the size of a woman's uterus is similar to that of a female fist. During pregnancy, the uterus will gradually increase to almost occupy the entire abdominal cavity as the pregnancy months increase. When a pregnant woman is giving birth, the contraction of the uterine muscles pushes the fetus down into the vagina for birth. After the placenta is delivered, the uterus will immediately contract, and the blood in the uterus will continue to contract and be discharged from the body. The time it takes for the uterus to fully return to normal after childbirth is not exactly the same for different individuals. Generally, 7-10 days after delivery, the uterus has basically returned to normal and retracted into the pelvic cavity, and the uterus has fully returned to normal at 42 days. The diet and lifestyle of the mother after childbirth have a significant impact on the recovery of the uterus. In order to promote the recovery of the uterus after childbirth, the following points should be achieved:

1. Try to avoid eating raw, cold, spicy and irritating foods to avoid affecting uterine contraction.

2. Exercise appropriately, massage the abdomen, promote uterine contraction, promote the discharge of blood congestion in the uterine cavity, and speed up the process of uterine recovery.
