Beware of liver cancer caused by eating

Aflatoxin is extremely toxic, 68 times that of arsenic and 10 times that of potassium cyanide. It is highly destructive to liver tissue and has a clear relationship with the occurrence of liver cancer. Long-term exposure to high concentrations of aflatoxin is the main cause of liver cancer. The International Agency for Research on Cancer has classified it as a Class 1 carcinogen.

This highly toxic carcinogen sometimes exists in our daily lives.

1. Long-soaked fungus

Fungus contains a large amount of protein and cellulose, and may deteriorate and produce similar biological toxins after being soaked for a long time.

2. Uncleaned chopsticks

When using chopsticks to eat foods with high starch content, the starch hidden in the chopstick seams may produce aflatoxin after becoming moldy. Therefore, be sure to wash them thoroughly after a meal!

3. Unwashed cutting board

Many families use wooden cutting boards. If the cutting board is not cleaned in time, the food residue and moisture left in the cracks will become a good culture medium for microorganisms, which may produce toxins after mildew. If the cutting board has obvious mildew spots, it should be replaced with a new one.

4. Bitter Nuts

If you eat melon seeds that have turned bitter, be sure to spit them out and rinse your mouth immediately, because the bitterness of melon seeds and other nuts comes from aflatoxin produced during the moldy process, and frequent intake will increase the risk of liver cancer.

5. Spoiled Rice

Don’t think you can relax your vigilance once the rice is cooked. Spoiled rice is most likely to produce aflatoxin!

6. Moldy peanuts and corn

Aflatoxin is hidden in moldy foods, especially those with high starch content, such as peanuts, corn, rice, millet, beans, etc. Starch can breed aflatoxin in a high temperature and humid environment.

Therefore, the most effective way to avoid aflatoxin is to cut off the source and prevent food from becoming moldy. Not all moldy food is aflatoxin, but many molds are harmful to the body. You must resolutely throw them away and don't feel sorry.

Stay away from aflatoxin and reduce the risk of liver cancer.
