Postpartum abdominal muscle separation

Postpartum abdominal muscle separation

Many women experience abdominal stretching during pregnancy, and everyone experiences different degrees of stretching. It takes 4 to 8 weeks after delivery for the body to slowly recover. However, some people experience more serious problems due to the large size of the baby or having twins, and experience waist muscle contraction. So what are the damages of waist muscle contraction after delivery?

Postpartum waist muscle damage may make it impossible to do some abdominal exercises. If such a situation cannot be cured well, the back pain will continue to increase and it will be impossible to restore to the pre-pregnancy physical condition. Some people's situation is more serious, and every internal organ will become loose or move, which may compress the bladder and cause urinary incontinence.

Many women experience back pain or some symptoms caused by lumbar muscle extraction after childbirth. At this time, they need to actively solve the problem and cooperate with the doctor to do some repair treatment to reduce the harm caused by lumbar muscle extraction to the human body.

Because nowadays many families have two babies, if the woman's body cannot be fully repaired after giving birth to the first baby, it will be difficult for the second baby to be successfully conceived and for normal delivery in the second half of the year. Therefore, women should pay attention to their own health issues at this time, which will help them get pregnant again in the second half of the year.

What to do with postpartum muscle extraction

Rectus abdominis separation is an important cause of abdominal obesity in women after childbirth. In order to eliminate abdominal obesity after childbirth, in addition to basic methods such as nutritional adjustment and aerobic exercise, proper kinetic training and function control of the abdominal muscles, especially the transverse abdominal muscles, are also required. During the pregnancy process, as the fetus in the uterine cavity gradually expands, the abdominal skin, muscle fascia, tendon sheath, muscles, etc. are extremely expanded, and one of the anterior abdominal wall muscles - the waist muscle - is stretched; in addition, there is generally a lack of vitamin A during pregnancy, and too much fat is accumulated in the abdomen. If you don't get proper rehabilitation guidance after giving birth, and the retracted waist muscles don't return to their original positions, you will be left with very ugly belly fat, and it may be accompanied by low back pain, stress-induced urinary incontinence, etc.

1. Lie flat on your back with your kneecaps bent. 2. Put your right hand on your abdomen (if you are right-handed, you can also put your left hand), with your palm facing down, your fingers focused on the toes, and your hand at the position of your navel. 3. Inhale, and then as you exhale, slowly lift your head and shoulders off the ground, as if you were doing a sit-up. It doesn't matter if you can't lift your head and shoulders off the ground; just trying to do this position will start to contract your lower back muscles. 4. When you try to sit up, you should be able to feel your lower back muscles tense. If I had diastasis recti, you would be able to feel it. You may have to do it a few times before you can get the feel for it. If you try three times in a row and still get a blank feeling, don't do it.

5. It is normal if the gap between your waist muscles is less than 2 fingers wide after delivery. If your gap is more than 3 fingers wide, you need to start doing some pelvic floor muscle training and lower back muscle training, and avoid sit-ups. If the gap between your waist muscles remains more than 3 finger widths after several weeks, be sure to go to the hospital to consult a relevant doctor.
