Is it good to have a mole under the right breast?

Some women will unknowingly find a mole on some part of their body. Because the mole is discovered suddenly, they can't help but worry whether it will threaten their health. So what about the mole under the right breast? Take a look below.

There is a mole on the skin under the right breast. There is no need to worry about this situation. The number of moles on a normal adult body should be around 40 grams. No matter where it grows, it will not threaten your health. You just need to pay attention to whether this mole has any signs of rapid expansion in a short period of time. If it expands rapidly in a short period of time, or there is a change in color. You need to see a doctor as soon as possible.

The characteristics of moles are generally good, and the probability of causing deterioration is not very high. The term "nevus" in medicine is a general term, also known as somatic cell nevus, pigmented nevus, melanocytic nevus or general secondary melanocytic nevus, excluding congenital melanocytic nevus. Mole is the most common benign skin tumor in humans and is the main skin manifestation caused by the increase of melanocytes in the epidermis and dermis.

Symptoms of pigmented nevus

Moles can be found in any normal body and can exist at birth or gradually appear early after birth. Common on the face, neck, and back, most of them grow slowly, or last for many years without change, but very few disappear naturally. According to surveys, normal individuals generally have an average of 15 to 20 pearls, and some may have as many as 50. Generally, the diameter does not exceed 5mm, but there are also those with a very large total area, which are called extremely large pigmented nevi, commonly known as giant nevi. The color of pigmented moles varies in intensity, and some pigmented moles are free of melanin. The surface of a mole may be smooth, thickened, or rough and wart-like.

Types of melanocytic nevi

Junctional nevus is present at birth or occurs shortly after birth. It is generally small, 1 to 6 mm in diameter, smooth, hairless, flat or slightly above the soft skin, and has light brown to dark red macules. It can occur in any part of the human body.

Compound nevus looks similar to junctional nevus, but may be higher and sometimes have hair protruding from it. It is common in children and adolescents.

Intradermal nevus is common in adults. It is a hemispherical papule or lump with a diameter of several millimeters to several centimeters. The surface is smooth or nipple-like, or has a pedicle and may have hair. Intradermal nevi generally do not expand. Common in the head and neck.

How to treat pigmented nevus

Generally speaking, pigmented moles have little effect on human health, but they can also cause deterioration, so everyone should not ignore it. There are two main traditional treatments for pigmented nevi, namely surgical treatment and non-surgical treatment.

For surgical treatment, according to the type of nevus, location, area size, etc., different methods such as suture removal, skin grafting and partial skin expander treatment can be used. This method is applicable to all types of pigmented moles, and the treatment effect is relatively good, but it will leave wound scars.

Conservative treatment includes laser therapy, cryotherapy, electrolysis, electrocautery, electrodrying, and 50% trichloroacetic acid aqueous solution burning. This method can save patients from the pain of surgery, but it is not possible to perform pathological tissue biopsy during treatment. Suitable for the treatment of confirmed pigmented nevi.
