Market research agency: Huawei and Xiaomi take the top two spots in the latest ranking of new phone activations in China's mobile phone market in Q4 2024

According to data from authoritative market research institutions, in Q4 2024 (W39-W52), according to the latest ranking of new phone activations in the Chinese mobile phone market, Huawei and Xiaomi ranked first and second, and Apple ranked third. Among them, Huawei's new phone activations reached 13.0878 million units, with a market share of 18.04%, ranking first. Xiaomi's new phone activations reached 12.4322 million units, with a market share of 17.14%, ranking second.

The number of new Apple phones activated was 12.4117 million, with a market share of 17.11%, a sharp drop of 17.3% year-on-year.

Overall, this quarter was dominated by a battle of new flagships. Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 15 series and REDMI K80 series, while Huawei also launched the Mate 70 series.

Among them, Xiaomi's data increased significantly from November to December, mainly due to the surge in sales of its two new models.

The Xiaomi Mi 15 series sold over 1 million units in less than 10 days after its launch; the K80 series also sold over 1 million units in just 10 days, setting a new record for the K series to reach one million sales the fastest.

Huawei also takes the lead with the Mate 70 series, and institutions predict that its shipments will easily exceed 10 million units during its life cycle.

Looking at the whole year (W1-W52), domestic manufacturers took the top three spots, while Huawei and Xiaomi took the second and third places thanks to their rapid growth.

Apple fell out of the top three and ranked fourth.
