In Android Authority's recent annual best mobile phone poll , the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra stood out after two rounds of fierce competition and was selected by netizens as the best mobile phone of the year. This year, OnePlus 12 squeezed the iPhone 16 out of the top four, breaking the tradition of Apple iPhone entering at least the top four for four consecutive years. The iPhone 16 Pro Max ranked fifth.

In the first round of voting, Android Authority listed 35 mobile phones for netizens to choose from. In the end, Google Pixel 9 Pro, Galaxy S24 Ultra, Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and OnePlus 12 won the top four places.

In the second round of voting, Galaxy S24 Ultra received more than 42.69% of the votes and became the best mobile phone of the year in the minds of netizens.

YouTuber MKBHD expressed his support for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, ranking it at the top of his list of the best phones of 2024.

He believes that although the Galaxy S24 Ultra may be relatively boring, it performs excellently in all aspects and has no obvious shortcomings.

At the same time, the Android Authority editorial team selected the Pixel 9 Pro as the best phone of the year, citing its compact body, powerful and flexible camera system, and the longest update commitment in the Android system.
