China Academy of Information and Communications Technology: Operation status of my country's listed Internet companies in the first quarter of 2023

Recently, the Internet Operation Analysis Team of the Policy and Economic Research Institute of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology released the report "Operation Status of my country's Listed Internet Companies in the First Quarter of 2023".

The report establishes the Internet industry classification standards and, with the help of the Wind database, constructs a research framework for monitoring the operations of listed Internet companies. It deeply explores the operation of my country's and the global Internet markets, and provides important references for industry trend forecasting and hot issue prediction.

Monitoring found that:

• In terms of market value, the market value of my country's listed Internet companies rebounded in Q1 2023;
• The market capitalization of companies listed in the mainland has increased, with the top 10 companies accounting for 76.1% of the total market capitalization;
• Ten Chinese companies are listed in the top 30 global Internet companies by market value;
• In terms of revenue, in Q4 2022, the revenue of my country’s listed Internet companies was 6.3%;
• In the sub-sectors, businesses such as medical health and tool software achieved rapid growth;
• Globally, the revenue growth rate of the top 10 companies reached 7.2%, and the growth rate of Chinese companies was lower than that of the United States.
