Apple has 1.5 billion active devices worldwide: iPhone has made a difference!

Apple has achieved great success this year thanks to Jobs's layout. What really made Apple flourish was the iPhone. After 11 years of development, this product has become the benchmark for smartphones.

This week, Apple released its first quarter 2020 financial report. Apple said that due to the rapid growth of the iPhone, wearable devices and services business, Apple has 1.5 billion active devices worldwide. In comparison, in January 2019, Apple reported 1.4 billion active devices worldwide.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said the number of active devices is a strong testament to the satisfaction, engagement and loyalty of their customers. The active devices counted by Apple include iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Watch.

Apple's latest financial report shows that its net revenue in the first fiscal quarter of 2020 was US$91.819 billion, a 9% increase from US$84.310 billion in the same period last year, setting a new record in the company's history; its net profit was US$22.236 billion, an 11% increase from US$19.965 billion in the same period last year.

In the first quarter of 2020, revenue from China accounted for 14.8% of Apple's total revenue, and although the market itself has stabilized somewhat, its revenue still lags behind developed regions such as the United States and Europe.

Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook also noted that Apple's iPhone sales in mainland China had achieved double-digit growth, and that Apple had taken three of the top four spots in the region's best-selling phones.
