According to an online survey conducted by Harris on behalf of mobile advertising supplier Pontiflex, most mobile apps that use rewarded installation are often deleted after downloading or are never activated at all, and only 3% of such apps achieve a high usage rate. Of the remaining 97%, 62% of users never activated the rewarded app again after downloading it (37% deleted the app after downloading it, and 25% abandoned the app after only using it once), 17% said they almost never used such apps, and 18% said they only used them occasionally. The survey also found that only 7% of smartphone users and 15% of tablet users welcome free apps that contain advertising content, while 35% of smartphone users and 34% of tablet users are worried that mobile video ads will increase their mobile network costs. From this, we can see that there is still a lot of room for improvement in marketing and profit-making methods in the mobile field, and it is still unclear which model is the most effective. via:gamerboom |
