Follow the doctor to Tibet | Set off again! Zhengzhou Seventh Hospital went to Tibet for the fifth time to screen and rescue children with congenital heart disease

Dahe.com News: On the morning of July 8, the "Angel Journey: Screening and Rescue Operation for Children with Congenital Heart Disease in Tibet" team of Zhengzhou Seventh People's Hospital set off for Tibet. Dahe.com reporters will follow the team for follow-up reports.

This screening operation, led by the hospital's Party Committee Secretary Cao Deming, will go to Langkazi County, Cuomei County, Sangri County in Shannan, Tibet, and Basu County, Chaya County in Chamdo, to bring health and care to local children with congenital heart disease.

It is reported that since 2015, Zhengzhou Seventh Hospital and the China Red Cross Foundation have joined hands to carry out the Angel Journey - a screening and rescue operation for children with congenital heart disease. This activity has been carried out 11 times in remote areas such as Qinghai, Guizhou, Yunnan, Tibet, and Xinjiang, with a total distance of more than 50,000 kilometers, screening more than 13,000 children with congenital heart disease, and providing 390 children with congenital heart disease with free surgical treatment, all of which were successful.

This operation is the fifth trip to Tibet after the "Angel Journey - Congenital Heart Disease Children Screening and Rescue Operation" was carried out in Nagqu in 2018, Shigatse in 2019, Ali in 2020, and Linzhi and Qamdo in 2021, successfully rescuing 146 Tibetan children with congenital heart disease.
