Helicobacter pylori

You said that my stomach was not good when I was a child because

Love of learning (games) leads to sleepless nights and forgetting to eat

You said it was because I had a bad stomach when I was growing up.

Carrying bricks makes people happy so they forget to eat

As for various bad habits such as staying up late to work overtime (watching TV series)

Overeating, heavy taste, sleeping after eating...

That's just a daily routine.

Yes, Helicobacter pylori really likes people like you

Fortunately, your gastrointestinal tract is doing whatever it wants.

And wait for an opportunity to find the next home through you

Data shows that more than 800 million people in my country are infected with Helicobacter pylori

Are you curious about what Helicobacter pylori is?

What diseases does it cause?

Does Helicobacter pylori cause cancer?

Next, Yu Feng, director of the Department of Gastroenterology and deputy chief physician of Chenjiaqiao Hospital in Shapingba District, will share some scientific knowledge with you:

Helicobacter pylori (HP) is a microaerophilic Gram-negative helicobacterium and the main pathogenic factor of chronic gastritis, peptic ulcer and gastric cancer.

The HP infection rate in my country is 40%-90%, with an average of 59%. HP is mainly transmitted from person to person through the oral-oral or fecal-oral route. HP infection has a clear clustering phenomenon within the family. If parents are infected with HP, their children are much more likely to be infected than other families.

Bad breath, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, heartburn, diarrhea, hunger pains, etc.

25%-30% of HP-infected people will develop gastrointestinal diseases of varying degrees, such as indigestion, chronic gastritis, chronic atrophic gastritis, intestinal metaplasia, intraepithelial neoplasia, and gastric cancer. HP infection is also closely related to a variety of extra-gastrointestinal diseases (such as iron deficiency anemia, chronic cough, adult asthma, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, autoimmune diseases, etc.).

The gold standard for HP infection examination is 13C and C14, and the examination is performed by blowing after fasting for at least 2 hours. The 13C examination is non-radioactive, simple and convenient, and is recommended as the first choice. For 13C examination, it is recommended to stop taking anti-HP antibiotics such as amoxicillin, levofloxacin, tetraflavin, and furazolidone for at least 4 weeks, and acid suppressants (prazoles or tidines) for at least 2 weeks.

Step 1: Replace the toothbrush and disinfect the patient's cups and utensils on time.

Step 2: HP is contagious and highly infectious. If someone in your home is infected, you must separate meals and use a household disinfection cabinet to disinfect tableware after each meal. The bacteria are not resistant to high temperatures, so high-temperature disinfection can kill the bacteria remaining on the tableware.

The third step of treatment: The gastroenterologist prescribes oral medication for standardized anti-HP treatment.

He is good at diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal diseases and has rich experience in diagnosing and treating critical diseases such as severe pancreatitis, gastrointestinal bleeding and liver failure. He was the first to carry out early gastrointestinal cancer screening and capsule endoscopy in the district; he was the first to carry out specialized diagnosis and treatment of constipation and diarrhea in the city, solving constipation problems through colon transit tests, electrogastroenterograms, anorectal manometry, constipation and diarrhea biofeedback treatment, etc.
