1.Will people with myopia not suffer from presbyopia?

The answer is: not necessarily.

Myopia is when you see distant objects blurry, while presbyopia is when you see close objects blurry. Myopia, especially high myopia, is a disease, while presbyopia is a natural aging phenomenon after middle age. The formation mechanisms of the two are different.

However, the blurred vision caused by myopia and presbyopia is related to the position of the focus on the retina, so they can offset each other to some extent. For example, 200° myopia and 200° presbyopia can offset each other, allowing us to see close without blurring.

However, as we age, our presbyopia gradually increases and cannot be offset. At this point, we need to prepare two pairs of glasses: myopia glasses and reading glasses, so that we can switch between them at any time.

2. How to relieve eye soreness after watching videos for a long time?

When watching electronic screens, be sure to blink more often and look out the window from time to time. Excessive use of the eyes can cause eye soreness, which can be relieved by the following methods:

(1) Hot compress: Use a hot towel to apply to the eyes for 1-2 minutes to promote blood circulation in the eyes and relieve eye discomfort.

(2) Using artificial tears can also effectively relieve dry eyes.

(3) Rub your temples. The temples are connected to the eye acupuncture points. Rubbing your temples can relax your eyes.

(4) Take more vitamins on a daily basis. Vitamins are one of the sources of nutrition for the optic nerve. Insufficient intake can easily lead to eye fatigue.

Regardless of age, we should maintain healthy eye habits and insist on having eye health checks 1-2 times a year.

3.Why do my eyelids twitch?

People often say "left eyelid twitching means disaster, right eyelid twitching means good fortune", of course, these are just daily jokes.

The eyelids, medically known as the eyelids, are divided into upper and lower eyelids, and are mainly composed of the orbicularis oculi muscle and the palpebral levator muscle. The so-called eyelid twitching is not the skin twitching, but the orbicularis oculi muscle and the palpebral levator muscle contracting under the control of the nerves, driving the surface skin to move accordingly.

Causes of eyelid twitching:

(1) Excessive use of the eyes causes the eye muscles to twitch involuntarily; this situation requires proper rest and gentle massage of the twitching area of the eyelids to restore the condition.

(2) If your eyelids twitch and you have red eyes or eye pain, it may be caused by an eye disease, such as keratitis, trachoma, or trichiasis. In this case, you need to seek medical attention and take appropriate medication to eliminate the symptoms as soon as possible.
