Rare juvenile Parkinson's

Rare juvenile Parkinson's

It is well known that Parkinson's disease is a common disease in the elderly, but there is also Parkinson's disease in young people who develop the disease before the age of 40. Because it is a rare disease, it is extremely easy to be overlooked.

In July this year, Ms. L, who was in her 30s, traveled and worked as usual, but found that she was walking unsteadily and shakily. The symptoms gradually worsened over time, accompanied by involuntary shaking of her left hand, which was more obvious during exercise. When she went to the local hospital for treatment, she was already slow in movement and unsteady in standing. The treatment did not improve her condition, and her symptoms continued to worsen. It gradually developed to the point where turning over and sitting up in bed became a problem. The doctor found that she had the characteristics of the "on-off period" phenomenon of Parkinson's disease, and immediately changed her mind and carefully considered it, and diagnosed it as "early-onset Parkinson's disease". After giving her corresponding treatment, her condition improved significantly.

Parkinson's rehabilitation treatment:

1. Reduce muscle tension training:

1) Shoulder-hip asynchronous rotation training: raise both upper limbs with hands clasped, flex both hips and knees, perform shoulder-hip asynchronous rotation, slowly turn the head and shoulders to one side, turn the flexed lower limbs to the other side, and then do the movement in the opposite direction.

2) Partial separation movement training: Sit down and slide one foot backward to the back of the chair without lifting the heel off the ground, bending the knee more than 90°.

3) Isolation movement training: prone position, elbows supported, knees bent.

2.Balance and walking training:

1) Hip bridge: raise both upper limbs, bend both hips and knees, and lift the hips; or place one leg on top of the other to lift the hips

2) Four-point kneeling position: Kneel on your hands and knees, with your center of gravity moving forward, backward, left and right.

3) Stand with your hands on the wall or your back against the wall, and walk sideways to the left or right or walk sideways in a cross-step manner.

4) Music therapy: Let the patient practice walking and walking training to the rhythm of music

3. Neck training:

Slowly lower your head, raise it, shake your head left and right, and turn your head as much as possible, and hold each movement for 6-10 seconds.

Repeated, effective and reasonable exercise can improve the motor function of Parkinson's patients and improve their quality of life. Parkinson's is not scary. Active intervention and early treatment will make your life full of sunshine!
