What is the origin of computers? How are computers classified by algorithm?

Computer network refers to a computer system that connects multiple computers and their peripheral devices with independent functions in different geographical locations through communication lines, and realizes resource sharing and information transmission under the management and coordination of network operating system, network management software and network communication protocol. What is the origin of the computer?

The ancestor of computers is the Difference Engine. In 1819, British scientist Babbage designed the "Difference Engine" and built a movable model in 1822. The Difference Engine increased the speed of multiplication and improved the accuracy of digital tables such as logarithmic tables, laying the foundation for the development of modern computer design ideas. In 1991, to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Babbage's birth, the London Science Museum produced a complete Difference Engine, which contained more than 4,000 parts and weighed 2.5 tons.

What are the computer algorithms?

Algorithms can be roughly divided into basic algorithms, data structure algorithms, number theory and algebraic algorithms, computational geometry algorithms, graph theory algorithms, dynamic programming and numerical analysis, encryption algorithms, sorting algorithms, retrieval algorithms, randomized algorithms, parallel algorithms, Hermitian deformation models, and random forest algorithms. Algorithms can be broadly divided into three categories:

1. Finite, deterministic algorithms, which terminate in a finite amount of time. They may take a long time to perform a given task, but will still terminate in a certain amount of time. The results of these algorithms often depend on the input values.

2. Finite, non-deterministic algorithms: These algorithms terminate in a finite amount of time. However, for a given value, the result of the algorithm is not unique or deterministic.

How Computer Networks Were Birthed

Looking back at the history of computer network development, its evolution can be roughly divided into three stages:

1. A remote online system centered on a single computer, forming a terminal-oriented computer network.

2. A computer network in which multiple host computers are interconnected by lines.

3. A computer network with a unified network architecture and following international standardized protocols.

A computer network refers to a computer system that connects multiple computers and their external devices with independent functions in different geographical locations through communication lines, and realizes resource sharing and information transmission under the management and coordination of a network operating system, network management software and network communication protocols.
