When do pregnant women start to develop stretch marks?

When do pregnant women start to develop stretch marks?

Speaking of stretch marks, it should be noted that not every mother will get stretch marks. For example, some women do not get stretch marks after giving birth to two children (I wonder if you who read this article will also have stretch marks after giving birth to children). But there are still quite a lot of pregnant women who will give birth. So when do pregnant women start to develop stretch marks? Let’s talk.

1. What are stretch marks?

Stretch marks are a type of stretch marks. Stretch marks are the breakdown of skin fibers caused by the body during pregnancy, exercise, and weight gain, and appear as red, white, or purple patterns. It also includes stretch marks and exercise cracks. The parts of the human body that require strong exercise include the abdomen, the inner sides of the thighs, the knees, the buttocks, and the lumbar spine.

The formation of stretch marks and obesity marks is mainly due to the damage or rupture of the elastic fibers and fibroblasts of the skin, resulting in some light pink or dark purple wavy cracks of varying widths and lengths.

2. When did stretch marks first appear?

In fact, whether stretch marks develop or not varies from person to person, and the time when they begin to develop is also different. It is determined by the different physical conditions of pregnant women. There are often differences in whether or not stretch marks appear and when they appear. This is because the elasticity of the skin of different pregnant women is different. Pregnant women with good elasticity may not develop stretch marks until the late pregnancy or even a month before delivery, while some pregnant women may not develop stretch marks even during the entire pregnancy. These are all normal. Pregnant women with poor elasticity will develop stretch marks earlier. However, generally speaking, pregnant women will start to develop stretch marks in the 5th to 6th month of pregnancy, and they will become more obvious one month before delivery.

3. Prevention of stretch marks

Stretch marks can only be prevented but not cured. There is no ideal potion that can make them disappear completely, and the various wrinkle removal creams currently on the market that promise to make them disappear are also ineffective. Stretch marks always disappear with the passage of time. It is reported that 90% of pregnant women will develop stretch marks on their abdomen, chest, thighs, waist and buttocks during pregnancy. However, due to genetic factors, 10% of women are not easily affected by stretch marks. The incidence rate of stretch marks reaches 90%. How can women who are planning to get pregnant prevent them?

(1) Prevention before pregnancy: Before pregnancy, you should start to pay attention to exercise and do more abdominal massage, which can effectively improve the elasticity of waist muscles and skin. In addition, eating more protein-rich foods on a regular basis can help improve the skin's luster and enhance the skin's repair ability.

(2) Prevention during pregnancy: During pregnancy, pregnant women should manage their weight. Gaining weight too quickly can easily lead to stretch marks. Then, insist on rubbing the abdomen with vegetable oil and massaging every day to prevent stretch marks, etc.

Let’s see if you ladies feel that the probability of not having stretch marks is quite high? After all, as long as you take good care of your skin, there is no need to be afraid even during pregnancy. Therefore, as for the question of when stretch marks start to appear, it depends on us to take good care of ourselves and pay more attention to our own skin (spreading hands)!
