Why can't I hold my urine? Women

If you have the urgency to urinate but can't hold your urine, it is a very big problem. It not only causes great harm to your health, but also has a great impact on the patient's daily life. Therefore, you must treat the symptoms of urgency to urinate in time. So what is the reason why ladies can't hold their urine? Let's find out together.

1. What is the reason why women cannot hold their urine?

Female friends experience the urgency of urinating but cannot hold their urine, which may be caused by urethritis. Urethritis actually refers to the inflammation of the urethral mucosa. It can be divided into subacute and chronic types in clinical medicine. Most patients are caused by the reverse invasion of pathogens into the urethral opening, and will have symptoms of urgency of urinating, frequent urination, burning pain during urination, and hematuria. Patients with acute symptoms will have urethral discharge, which is mucous at the beginning, and then a lot of pus-like secretions will appear. In the case of acute symptoms, there will be dull pain in the supraphagus area and perineum, and redness and secretions will appear in the urethral opening.

It may also be caused by low bladder capacity. Under normal circumstances, our bladder can hold 300 to 400 ml of urine before we can hold our urine. If the bladder capacity is reduced due to inflammation or stones, or if pregnancy, pelvic tumors or other external bladder masses are compressed, causing the volume of the bladder to decrease to a certain extent, we will all experience urinary urgency and inability to hold our urine.

In addition, it may also be caused by spinal cord injury or disease. If the spinal nerves are damaged or diseased, the nerve center's control over urination will not work properly, resulting in the phenomenon of urinary urgency.
