What causes myocardial infarction and what methods can be used to remove the blood clot?

Many cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases are caused by the presence of blood clots, which affect the blood supply to the heart and brain. Blood clots are small pieces formed in the blood that can easily block blood vessels. Generally, the elderly are prone to blood clots. In addition, it is also related to daily life, so young people are also prone to blood clots. So how do blood clots usually come about?

What causes myocardial infarction?

90% comes from atherosclerosis in the coronary arteries that supply blood to the heart, not from anywhere else.

Coronary arteries are damaged by pathological factors such as high blood pressure, high blood sugar, and high blood lipids, which lead to damage to the inner wall of the blood vessels, lipid deposition, atherosclerosis, and plaque formation. Newly formed soft plaques are particularly unstable and can block blood vessels or rupture to form thrombi, causing a sharp reduction or interruption of coronary blood supply, resulting in myocardial ischemia and hypoxia, leading to necrosis.

Clinically, many patients suffer from the disease caused by morning activities, physical labor, full meals, and sudden cold stimulation. For example, after getting up in the morning, the sympathetic nerves are excited and the coronary artery tension increases; after physical labor and emotional excitement, the heart's oxygen demand increases and the left ventricular load increases; after a full meal, the blood viscosity increases.

In addition, if you have the following signs, you should be aware that coronary heart disease has "found" you! Pain occurs in the middle and upper part of the sternum, which can radiate to the left shoulder and left arm, and is often characterized by a feeling of tightness and constriction. It lasts for a short time, perhaps 3-5 minutes.

How to remove blood clots?

(1) If the patient is in the acute stage of thrombosis, thrombolytic therapy can be performed. The earlier the thrombolysis is performed, the better the thrombolytic effect will be. It can effectively reduce the volume of thrombus and relieve discomfort symptoms.

(2) The conventional treatment for thrombosis is anticoagulant therapy. There are many anticoagulant drugs in clinical practice, such as low molecular weight heparin, ordinary heparin and warfarin. Patients can choose the appropriate drug according to their own condition. It is worth mentioning that anticoagulant therapy is a long-term process, and patients must persist in it to achieve better results.

(3) Surgical treatment. Surgical thrombectomy is a relatively direct treatment method, but it also has disadvantages and is prone to recurrence, so patients should choose it with caution.

(4) Life care. Controlling diet and improving bad habits are also important for removing blood clots. In addition, proper exercise, improving body immunity, and actively treating other related diseases are beneficial to the treatment and recovery of blood clots.

Although blood clots are difficult to reverse, many risks can be avoided as long as they are treated actively, and they will not even affect normal life.

What to eat if you have blood clots

Patients must receive timely treatment after suffering from thrombotic diseases such as cerebral thrombosis, coronary thrombosis, and pulmonary embolism.

There are two main aspects of eating.

One is to take medicine, such as lipid-lowering drugs, which can improve blood viscosity. Another is to take drugs that lower platelets and drugs that help dissolve blood clots, such as commonly used aspirin.

On the other hand, in our daily diet, we must pay attention to eating more vegetables and fruits. For example, onions contain prostaglandin A which can help dilate blood vessels and reduce blood viscosity. The vitamin P contained in eggplant can increase the elasticity of blood vessels. Apples contain pectin, which can lower blood cholesterol concentration.

These are all beneficial for the treatment of thrombosis and can speed up recovery.
