How to fix a car with a broken reversing light? Why is only one reversing light on?

When a car is reversing, the rear reversing lights will light up, reminding the vehicles behind to reverse and give way. We all know that the car headlights, taillights and turn signals are on each side, so that the lighting range is large and it looks symmetrical. However, some cars may not have this feature, such as fog lights and reversing lights, and sometimes only one is installed. So how to fix a non-lighting reversing light?

How to fix a car with a broken reverse light

The principle of the car's reverse lights is very simple. There is a reverse gear switch on the gearbox. When the reverse gear switch is turned on, one end of the switch input is connected to the positive pole, and the output is directly connected to the reverse light. One end of the reverse light is directly connected to the ground (ground), and the other end is connected to the reverse switch. When reversing, one end of the reverse light will be connected to the battery through the switch, so the reverse light will light up. When driving normally, the reverse light bulb will not be connected to the power supply, so the reverse light will not light up! !

If the reverse light does not light up, first check whether the bulb is damaged, whether the fuse is broken, and then check whether the grounding is good. You can use the voltage range of the multimeter to directly test whether there is 12V voltage at both ends of the bulb to judge (put the reverse gear after extinguishing the fire). If there is no voltage, then simply check the circuit. If there is no abnormality in the circuit, directly check the reverse light switch to see if the voltage before and after the switch is consistent. If the switch has no power, it means it is damaged. If there is power after the switch, it means that the circuit between the reverse light and the reverse light is damaged! . If there is no power before the switch, check the front line, check the fuse, etc.

Why is only one reverse light on?

The current implementation is the "GB4785-2007 Regulations for the Installation of External Lighting and Light Signal Devices for Motor Vehicles and Trailers", which stipulates that all vehicles of Class M1 and length not exceeding 6m must be equipped with one reversing light and one reversing light can be installed as an option. The so-called Class M1 vehicle is a passenger vehicle with at least 4 wheels, or 3 wheels, and a factory-determined maximum total mass exceeding 1t, and no more than 8 passenger seats in addition to the driver's seat.

Therefore, many cars now only install a reversing light, which saves costs and does not violate national regulations, killing two birds with one stone. According to the principle of left-hand drive and right-hand traffic in China, the standard of lamps in my country is the left fog light and the right reversing light design, so most of the "one-eyed dragon" rear taillights come from this.

The so-called reduction in configuration, obtaining greater profits is definitely the ultimate thought of every businessman, but I want to tell you that removing a reversing light can indeed save some costs, but for car manufacturers, whether they can survive and become stronger is not determined by reducing this little bit of cost.

What color are the reverse lights?

The reverse light line is in the groove at the back of the car and is red. The car reverse light is installed at the rear of the car to illuminate the road behind the car when reversing, and to warn vehicles and pedestrians behind the car.

There are currently several types of car reversing lights:

1. Materials used. Gas car reversing lights; LED car reversing lights;

2. Base. P21W;W21W;P27W;W16W
