How to remove the saltiness of sea cabbage

1. Soak in clean water

Sea cabbage is a kind of seafood and has a high salt content. Therefore, you need to shake off the salt grains on the surface of the sea cabbage before eating it, then wash it with clean water, and then soak the sea cabbage in clean water for about 4 hours. Change the water after 1 to 2 hours. After changing the water 3 to 4 times, the saltiness of the sea cabbage will be lighter.

2. Add some side dishes

Or you can use less sea cabbage and add more side dishes. For example, you can use sea cabbage to stir-fry other vegetables, such as bean sprouts and carrots. Wash the sea cabbage and carrots, cut them into shreds, then wash the bean sprouts, heat them, put the bean sprouts, carotene and sea cabbage in the pan and stir-fry without adding salt. Use the saltiness of the sea cabbage itself to enhance the taste.

3. Make soup

If sea cabbage is too salty, you can also make soup. Sea cabbage can not only be eaten as food, but also can be used as table salt because it contains rich salt. No salt is needed during the stewing process. Sea cabbage can be stewed with ribs. After blanching the ribs, put them in the pot, add appropriate amount of sea cabbage, kidney beans and other ingredients, and then stew them together.

4. Blanch and remove salt

Another way is to blanch the sea lettuce several times to dissolve the salt in it. This has the same effect as soaking it in water, but because heating allows the salty molecules to dissolve faster, the saltiness in the sea lettuce can be removed faster, and the deodorizing effect is better.
