Symptoms of Overactive Bladder in Women

Symptoms of Overactive Bladder in Women

I have bladder hyperactivity syndrome. If I treat it, there is no immediate effect. If I don't treat it, it will definitely affect my daily life. At the scene, many patients and friends confided to each other the confusion caused by the disease. Let's take a look at the factors that affect women with ADHD.

1. Factors of ADHD

1. Psychological disorders: Typical obsessive-compulsive disorder, locked-in mentality, overactivity, extremism, and excessive temper may cause ADHD in children.

2. There are also some sudden illnesses: such as respiratory tract infection, mild head injury, epilepsy, trauma, carbon monoxide poisoning, side effects of poisoning, indigestion, skin allergies, etc.

3. Mental factors: being frightened, emotionally excited, sad, watching thrilling TV shows, novels and exciting cartoons, etc. can cause ADHD in children.

4. Infectious factors: respiratory tract infection, tonsillitis, mumps, rhinitis, pharyngitis, chickenpox, various types of encephalitis, viral hepatitis, etc.

5. Maternal factors: high fever during pregnancy, history of dystocia, history of postnatal asphyxia, high total bilirubinuria in newborns, cesarean section, etc.

2. Relationship between the bladder and other structures

The lower part of the bladder is connected to the ischial tuberosity, the fat behind the metatarsal bones, the anterior bladder vein, and part of the bladder pelvis muscle fascia. The sides of the bladder are connected to the levator ani muscles, omental muscle, parietal pelvic muscle fascia, and bladder prostatic venous plexus.

In men, the lower end of the bladder is directly connected to the duodenum, with the seminal vesicle, ejaculatory duct ampulla and duodenal bladder muscle fascia in the middle, and the urethra enters the bladder near the seminal vesicle. In women, the back of the bladder is connected to the uterine bladder space, but is separated from the uterine body. Below this retroperitoneal space, the bladder is directly connected to the cervix and anterior vaginal wall. On both sides of the urethra, the bladder is connected to the anterior broad cruciate ligament, and the body and fundus of the uterus are located above the bladder.

When observing the bladder from the inside, the mucosal surface shows many wrinkles, but there is a triangular smooth area at the bottom, called the bladder triangle, with its two side corners being the left and right urethral orifices, and the lower corner being the inner opening of the urethra. There is a horizontally protruding mucosal wrinkle between the two urethral openings, called the urethral fold, which is a key landmark for finding the urethral opening. The bladder triangle is an important landmark during bladder microscopy and is also a common location for stones and tuberculosis.

3. Where is the bladder located?

The bladder of an adult is located on the front side of the pelvis, with the ischial tuberosity in front, the seminal vesicle, ejaculatory duct ampulla and duodenum in men behind, and the uterus and vagina in women behind. The bladder neck is adjacent to the prostate gland in men and directly adjacent to the urogenital diaphragm in women. The bladder is covered by the retroperitoneum, which is adjacent to the colon in men and the uterus in women.

When the bladder is painful, the tip of the bladder does not exceed the upper edge of the ischial tuberosity. When the bladder is full, the tip of the bladder rises above the ischial tuberosity. At this time, the retroperitoneum of the anterior abdominal wall folded toward the bladder also shifts, making the anterior and lower wall of the bladder immediately close to the anterior abdominal wall. At this time, bladder puncture or bladder surgery above the ischial tuberosity can avoid damaging the retroperitoneum and vibrating the peritoneal cavity.

The bladder of a newborn baby is located higher than that of an adult, and most of it is located in the abdomen. As people age and their pelvis grows, the position of the bladder gradually moves down, reaching the human body around puberty. The pelvic floor muscles of the elderly are relaxed and the bladder is located lower.
