What should I do if lucky bamboo does not take root?

1. First, rinse the bamboo with running water. Take 1 and 2 bamboos out of the water bottle and cut them 1 cm below the bamboo joints, with a 45-degree angle. 3. If the lower part of the bamboo wilts and turns yellow, prune more, about the position of the diagonal line. Disinfect the scissors with carbendazim and make the cut smooth. Dip them in rooting powder and put them into the water bottle.

2. To disinfect the water bottle, you can use boiling water. Note that you should wash it with a small amount of boiling water first, and then scald it. Disinfect and set aside.

3. The water for growing bamboo should be aired for 1-2 days in advance to remove the chlorine in the water and reach a balance with the room temperature. You can also heat the water to 10-15 degrees and put it in the bottle. Change the water once a day.

4. Don’t put too much water in the bottle, about 5-8 cm water level is enough.

5. It is recommended to keep 1-2 roots in the bottle, 3 roots will look a bit crowded. The bottle mouth is small and the air flow in the bottle is poor.

6. Remove the yellow leaves on the upper part in time to increase light penetration and avoid nutrient consumption.

7. Keep the plant in low light, not in strong sunlight. The temperature should be between 15-25 degrees for good rooting. If the temperature is low at night, cover it with a plastic bag and poke a few holes for ventilation. If the temperature is high during the day, remove the bag.

8. Increase the air humidity to prevent the tips from drying out. Spray the leaves thoroughly until there is no dripping.
