What causes breast fibroids?

Breast health has received more and more attention from women in recent years. Many women pay close attention to every detail of their breasts, fearing that they will miss any early symptoms of breast cancer. Sometimes women feel some ring-shaped lumps in their breasts and are diagnosed with breast fibroids after a physical examination at the hospital. So, what causes breast fibroids?

1. Lifestyle habits:

What are the causes of breast fibroids? Diet, radiation, medical treatment, lifestyle, etc. are also one of the causes of breast fibroids. For example, vegetables, fruits, Chinese yam, oyster mushrooms, legumes, carrots, green tea, etc. can reduce the incidence rate. If women drink alcohol frequently or increase their total fat intake, especially obesity in postmenopausal women, the incidence rate may also increase.

2. Innate factors:

That is, the sensitivity of collagen fibers in the mammary lobules to estrogen is abnormally increased, which may be caused by the large number of estrogen receptors contained in these collagen fibers.

3. The influence of mental factors such as mentality:

Negative mental factors such as tension, anxiety, and emotional excitement can easily cause breast hyperplasia. Staying up late and poor rest can also cause breast fibroids, and these negative factors will aggravate existing breast fibroid symptoms.

4. Related to the stimulation of estrogen:

Because the breast tissue of some people is more sensitive to estrogen, the epithelial cell tissue and fibrous tissue of the breast will proliferate to varying degrees under the stimulation of estrogen.

5. Endocrine imbalance:

The decreased metabolism of luteinizing hormone and the relative increase of estrogen are the key causes of breast hyperplasia. Such as incomplete growth and development of the uterus and ovaries, irregular menstruation, thyroid disease and liver function test disorders.

6. Human error or poor lifestyle:

Reasons such as female infertility at an older age, imbalanced marital life, abortion, family discord, and not breastfeeding can lead to the breast being unable to have normal and regular physiological activities. Wearing a bra that is too tight or underwear that is too tight, etc.

7. Genetics:

If there is breast fibroid disease in the first generation of family members (mother, sisters, etc.), the whole family may be at high risk of the disease. It is now found that if the patient has the BRCA-1 gene in the blood or tissues, and if the BRCA-1 gene can also be found in her children, then her children are at a higher risk, but this does not mean that the disease is hereditary.
